Ever wonder why friends or family talk about having a "natural" birth? What does that even mean, exactly? Isn't all birth considered natural? This is a culturally important topic to discuss, which Mums & Tums Canada founder and birth doula, Heather Dolimont, talks all about in this podcast episode! The first one of the new year, join us for this discussion and call in to leave YOUR messages for us, sharing your own thoughts on this topic. Your recording could be featured in an upcoming episode! Happy New Year, everyone.

In this episode we get a chance to sit down with postpartum doula, blogger and author, Genevieve Desrochers. She's originally from Quebec, but she now lives here in the west end of Toronto with her husband and two children. She intimately shares with us her experiences as a mom who felt very unprepared for what postpartum held in store for her after having her first child. And from those experiences, she felt moved to help positively shift and change other parents' lives who are touched by something similar. Postpartum Mood Disorders (PPD) affect 1 in 7 women, and it's unclear how many men it affects. It's a serious topic that needs to be discussed much more openly and honestly. Genevieve is such a beacon of hope and light in this regard! You can find her online at either her blog or her website.
