Prosecutors had sought to have Grossman’s jailhouse privileges revoked after a series of recorded telephone calls from the Twin Towers jail to her family instructed them to release evidence that had been sealed during her double murder trial and to track down witnesses to get them to say their testimony was directed. Grossman has been awaiting sentencing since her Feb. 23 conviction of second-degree murder in the deaths of two brothers who were struck and killed in a crosswalk as she sped along a residential Westlake Village street in September 2020. James Crumbley Declines to Testify in His Involuntary Manslaughter Trial, unlike his wife, Jennifer Crumbley, who was convicted last month. Witness testimony in the trial ended on Wednesday. Mr. Crumbley faces involuntary manslaughter charges for the four students killed by his son, Ethan Crumbley. Testimony concluded Wednesday morning in the trial of James Crumbley, whose son carried out Michigan’s deadliest school shooting more than two years ago and whose wife was convicted last month in the same courtroom for failing to prevent the rampage. Prosecutors took the rare step of seeking to hold the Crumbleys partially responsible for the shooting at Oxford High School on Nov. 30, 2021, in which their son, Ethan, who was 15 at the time, killed four people and injured seven others. “That nightmare was preventable, and it was foreseeable,” Marc Keast, an Oakland County prosecutor, said in an opening statement last week. He accused Mr. Crumbley of failing to secure the gun that his son used in the shooting. Mr. Crumbley has been jailed since December 2021, when he and his wife, Jennifer Crumbley, were each charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter. They requested separate trials, and unlike his wife, Mr. Crumbley chose not to testify in his own defense. Michelle Troconis was found guilty Friday March 1st of conspiring with Fotis Dulos to kill his wife, Connecticut mother Jennifer Farber Dulos, along with five other counts in connection to her disappearance and presumed death. Troconis, 49, was Dulos’ girlfriend when his wife disappeared in May 2019. Dulos was eventually charged with murder in the case but died while out on bail. On Friday, after two days of deliberations, a six-person jury found Troconis guilty of conspiracy to commit murder, two counts of conspiracy to commit tampering with physical evidence, two counts of tampering with physical evidence and one count of hindering prosecution in the second degree following a multiweek trial in Stamford Superior Court. Rust armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed's criminal trial is finally underway, more than two years after the fatal on-set shooting of the movie's cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins. She faces charges of involuntary manslaughter and tampering with evidence that Santa Fe County District Attorney's office first filed against her in January 2023. Gutierrez-Reed entered a written plea of not guilty on Aug. 9, 2023. "Ms. Gutierrez has pleaded not guilty to all charges and is preparing for her day in court," her attorney Bowles said in a statement to PEOPLE at that time. "She looks forward to her day in court and to having the conduct of everyone on set fully examined."
