Movie Mixology
Pat and Marissa Gibbens
Movie Mixology is a podcast for movie lovers and do-it-yourself bartenders alike. Join co-hosts Pat and Marissa Gibbens as they engage in their two favorite pastimes: watching movies and making drinks. Each episode, Pat and Marissa imbibe a drink associated with a particular movie or genre. The pair carefully (or, not so carefully) examines each drink, each movie, and sometimes, each other. These intrepid hosts are not movie critics or licensed mixologists, but they hope what they lack in professionalism, they make up for in witty banter and the occasional, accidental, on-air burp.

But if you do what I want, I'll make all your little recent criminal transgressions go away and let you get back to that pathetic excuse of a life." XANDER: "I think maybe I should be like you...get all shot up for those stars and stripes."   XYZ recipe 1.5oz of white rum (traditional) or spiced rum works just fine 1oz lemon juice 1oz triple-sec or orange liqueur Lemon peel for garnish (optional)   Add rum, lemon juice and triple sec to a shaker with ice and shake Strain into a chilled cocktail glass Optionally garnish with a lemon peel

Sally stares, then smirks and grabs a nearby napkin. SALLY: "That's right. I forgot. You're a man." HARRY: "What is that supposed to mean?" SALLY: "Nothing. Queen Elizabeth inspired by Quantum of Solace (2008)
This week, @momixpod mixes The Queen Elizabeth Cocktail, inspired by 2008’s "Quantum of Solace." While the hosts point out that Casino Royale’s sequel is anything but classy, they certainly agree that Dame Judi Dench is the true royal inspiration behind this week’s episode. As they sip their tart drinks, Pat and Marissa discuss why Quantum sticks out as a disappointing moment in an otherwise exceptional Craig-era run. Will the hosts ever be able to put their bitter feelings and comparisons to Casino Royale aside? Will their biases allow them to give Quantum a fair shake? Listen on to find out!   BOND: "You know, I was just wondering what South America would be like if no one gave a damn about coke or communism. It's always impressed me the way you boys have carved this place up." FELIX: "I'll take that as a compliment coming from a Brit."  Leiter takes a swig of the cheap beer the bartender has laid in front of him. BOND: "Are you sure you're playing with the right side?" FELIX: "Regimes change once a week down here. Medrano'll be no dirtier than the next guy."   Queen Elizabeth recipe: 1.5oz dry vermouth  1oz Benedictine 1oz lemon or lime juice   Throw all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake for 20 seconds or so. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and optionally garnish with lemon or lime twist.     Lessons from the Screenplay YouTube video about Casino Royale: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GdBnwXLJdI&t=4s
