Love Actually
Is Great. You need to watch it !!!!
Hit or Miss
The Monday mini episodes, I listened to them for a few months before I realized it is just an asinine waste of time about topics I do not care about when I could be listening to a more engaging podcast, which I do now so you can probably skip those episodes if you feel the same way. The movie reviews are hit or miss - most episodes are good, especially when they get right into talking about the film. When I have to sit through a 30 minute or longer interview before anyone even talks about the movie then I get annoyed, fast forward and if I have to skip ahead too much I just mark the episode as played and move onto something more engaging. It is fine to have an interview but those segments can be cut out and made into their own interview episodes for those that care to listen but for me, I am listening to hear about the films. And it is super annoying to hear about Chuck and his upbringing nearly every episode. It could be a drinking game. Lastly, this is all just me and my gripes and my interpretation of a score and review and the content I am looking for - hopefully you enjoy all the content and things I dislike and find the podcast better than I do. If not though, I totally understand.

I tried to keep listening, but I can't
I have been a loyal listener to all the "Stuff" podcasts since day one. Now I have unsubscribed Movie Crush because I do not tune in to listen to the host rave about politics and the awful state of America. Does he really think we are not aware? I sincerely hope he is seeing a therapist as his angst is more contagious than Covid.
Movie Crush is the Best!
There is a familiarity about Chuck. He warms the heart. And, opens the mind. And, love the banter between Noel and Chuck.

Good listen
As a huge fan of SYSK, I gave this one a shot and I’ve really enjoyed it. I’ve only listened to episodes based on movies I’ve personally seen but the conversation is good. Love the background that the guest gets to elaborate on (their history with the movie and their own story). Not gonna lie, after each episode I’ve listened to I’ve totally gone and watched the movie they were talking about. They do a great job of analyzing parts of the movies I’ve found myself catching as well. Keep up the good work here. So many movies left to discuss!

Don’t care for your political “insights”
Stick to film reviews. I have misgivings about guys who watch movies all day voicing their opinions about what’s wrong with society.
Man for all reasons
Enjoyable but could use some improvements
I’ve enjoyed watching the movies (and some not lol) and the overview about them. It would be nice if the year of which movie you are referring to would be noted in the podcast because there are so many remakes these days. Some of the podcasts have them listed in the description, some do not. I’m not a fan of some of the political banter of current events even if I agree with you guys at times. Also some of the movie crushes are out of order or have repeated elements in them but they can still be entertaining. I don’t watch a movie podcast if it isn’t a movie I haven’t seen so sometimes I’ll just be listening to the crushes. Also I know Chuck doesn’t read the reviews but at times he sounds bored or less enthusiastic. There have been some movie overview podcasts that barely even talk about the movie and are just about the individual Chuck is having a conversation with which is a bit of a waste of my listening ears.

I like the pod, but this passive aggressive stuff from Chuck to Noel is disturbing.
Zero Stars
Ignorant. Unsubscribe.
Need more enthusiasm from Chuck
Love the podcast and love Chuck, but lately he has shown very little enthusiasm for the mini crush episodes and it really hurts the experience. He often begins by saying things along the lines of “let’s finish this up and get out of here.” Also doesn’t have as many fun ‘activities’ planned for the show, so the conversations are less engaging. Where’s noels holes? Where are the polls? These two problems put together really make it seem like a haphazard, careless effort sometimes. Chucks heart just doesn’t seem into it. I hope this is just pandemic stress, etc and the show goes back to normal soon!! Best wishes

Stuff you should know is much better.
Casey Pegram makes the show
I recommend listening to any episode with Casey Pegram. I’ve tried listening to other episodes and they’re hardly ever as good
Please edit out some of the irrelevant banter!
Love Chuck / SYSK, love cinema, and I’ve really enjoyed most of these episodes so far. But overall, there’s WAY to much irrelevant banter that precedes any conversation about film. Sometimes there’ll be a solid 45 minutes to an hour before they even talk about the film at all—it’s just too much. Especially given that it’s usually friends and family guesting on the podcast, I just wish someone would realize that the average podcast listener just isn’t going to be anywhere near as interested in the life story of a complete non-celebrity stranger as the host would be. No offense.

Bad Info
As a doctor of veterinary medicine for almost 20 years I take offense to your last guess saying that tick born diseases cause blindness. Intestinal parasites such as hookworms can cause blindness but a tick and a hookworm are completely different. Hope this helps to provide you with some much needed education...but I'm sure you will dismiss this review bc it doesn't go along with your agenda.
Chuck likes to think he’s knowledgeable but isn’t especially so. Noel trying so hard on every podcast makes me cringe. Forced banter with lots of very specific opinions that seem uppity, snotty and intolerant despite the loose and laidback feel. Lots of friends I couldn’t care less about talking about their shallow ventures in Hollywood. Nah.
A Tonic for the Times
It’s like listening to friends nerd out about their favorite movie. Even if I don’t think I’ll ever see the movie, I still like the shows.

Good podcast but...
I listen often, especially the minicrushes which are short and entertaining. Chuck and Noel are solid and amiable. Only complaint is their occasional political commentary, which should be left out of the podcast. Not everyone who enjoys a movie podcast shares the same political views as the hosts and certainly shouldn’t have to listen to president-bashing. This is escapism fellas, not CNN
annoyed phillies fan
Why so much hate, love this
Not sure why it has less than 4 stars?! This is a good show and I love their mini chrushes and the guests ones are great too!! Doesn’t bother me that he can get “Star struck” or veer off. It’s a great podcast to listen to! Love Noel too!!
One of my faves!
Love you guys! So relaxed, fun variety of conversation, can’t be beat.
The host is a nice guy and most amiable and like to here the guests talk about their favorite cinematic passions . The big problem with this pod is that the host dismissively tosses out facts about movies that are not correct without a thought . You said you don’t read reviews or care about that them but please you have the entire internet in front of you when your record . Check your facts.
More Casey episodes
Great show! More Casey episodes please he picks great movies and I love the conversations
Excellent podcast. I feel like I understand now.
I’ve never been a “movie” guy. I used to just watch them with no agenda. Chuck, you have made me really think about the movies I watch now. I’m a yuge Kubrick fan, and because of this pod, I now know why. For most of your episodes I’m constantly saying “huh, I get it” “I see that” “that makes sense” “where’s my beer” and other things. And the main reason I’m writing this review is that I am currently listening to the episode with Josh. I love you guys. You both have wonderful chemistry ;). I have laughed out loud sooo many times. Well done Chuck! Keep on keepin on! Joe

Discussion/reviews of films from guys who don’t see movies!
‘I didn’t see it’ is a comment said way too often with these guys. Very amateur, uninformed and unprepared for a decent podcast conversation. Not for true film true movie fans.
Hi Chuck

Love this podcast
If you enjoy movies and a fun, cozy atmosphere that feels like you’re hanging with old friends- this is for you
Atl Gs
good natured host and guests
It’s not a film class, or a scripted, fact checked pod. So what? I go elsewhere for that. This is a great place to hear people talk about movies they love, and not be jerks about it. I like to spend time with chuck and his revolving group of very cool guests. Sometimes I disagree with their takes and I still love them anyway. Lots of podcasts out there, if this one doesn’t speak to you then that’s totally fine. I don’t normally write reviews but saw some very troll-like comments and had to speak up. Thanks for the great content.

Great Start but...
I really like MC. The concept is great and for a fair bit of time they were really getting some higher profile guests. Which is the obvious point. But for awhile it seems like it’s been a struggle to line up those type of guests. No biggie. Most of the recent guests are good. My main issue when I’m listening is that Chuck spends half the episode talking about the person’s background. That seems a bit unnecessary. And by the time they get to the movie, it feels rushed. The mini crushes are hit or miss for me. I think if they were maybe related to the type of film that was covered right before they would work better. But I do enjoy Chuck and Noels interactions. And Casey is great. Very insightful about the movies he discusses.

Emilie very snobby and annoying
Annoying and snobby
Hit or miss
I love the concept of the show, but it’s very much hit or miss these days. There’s been a real lack of interesting guest/movie discussions for the most part. Seems like it’s mainly a way to get Chuck’s friends and family on the show lately The mini crush episodes could be once a month only and that alone would improve the show so much. They put out so much content, but it’s largely pretty bland and uninteresting. If I wanted to listen to someone read random facebook comments for an hour, I’d go to the facebook group

Dude. I love stuff you should know so I have been listening to this as well. And I have to say I like it, when you actually stick to the movie at hand. You could also cut the intros in half so I don’t have to skip a minute forward. Other than that I’m still listening.
I’ve listened since inception bc I want to give my SYSK friends some support. After Tig Nataro I wanted more! Now it’s just Chuck’s local college buddies. Yawn. Discussions need to be around new movies. Discussions around movies from the 90’s put me to sleep. I expect more. But I still listen each week... weird me.
They barely know what they’re talking about
They barely know what they’re talking about yet supposedly being working in film. It makes this podcast annoying to listen to because of it. It seems like they’ve never seen a movie they are taking about and Casey knows more than the hosts always. They also think Adam Sandler isn’t weird for wanting to do nothing but make lots of money. I’ve been a long time listener but in recent time I have realized these guys are just annoying white people who thought Adam Sandler would get an Oscar not realizing that Uncut Gems isn’t the Safdies best film. Ugh.....

I enjoy Filmspotting a lot more to hear educated and prepared conversation that entertains but also teaches me something new about film every time. I just kinda feel empty handed after each episode of Movie Crush.
No thank you.
If you want to hear a guy give you an almost constant stream of wrong information that could be cleared up just by googling, this is the podcast for you. If you like factual correctness, go elsewhere. By the way Chuck, MLK’s assassination in Memphis is marked by the national civil rights museum. So easy for you to have looked that up and not made it seem as if the city didn’t do anything.
Love It!
One of the best Podcasts out there.
A Disappointment
Marie Antoinette is one of my favorite historical figures. I downloaded the episode on Sofia Coppola’s movie adaptation, based off the excellent biography, The Journey, by Antonia Fraser. The hosts of this podcast did not do their due diligence in research prior to this episode. For example, they referred to the depiction of Marie Antoinette by Fraser and Coppola as “sympathetic” when many historians who’ve written about the Queen would instead describe it as “accurate.” While I have misgivings about this film in general (aka how it ends), Sofia Coppola not only accurately depicted Marie Antoinette, but she was also given exclusive access to Versailles for this film. If your looking for a good podcast to hear this movie reviewed.... keep looking. This podcast was a waste of my time.

I’m confused?
Followed u from SUSK to MC, and was initially all in. However, In the last 6 months give or take, your scheduling is so off, I am at a loss. Guests are now mostly friends and crew and your episode release dates have not jived with what’s been going on in real time. And what happened to Oscars coverage? No Emily and Chuck or mention of? This is no longer feeling like an up to the moment film podcast. ☹️

Could not love it more.
This podcast is so charming and chummy, I could listen to Chuck have a ball with Noel and all the awesome guests all day. A real mood booster.
hannah k. garden
Too many ads and took too long to get to the point. Had some ok episodes but unsubscribing to clean up my feed of active podcasts.
So Great
I can’t say enough about Chuck and the show and the format. This is truly entertaining for anyone into movies or podcasts with excellent notable guests. Also, hands down best quote ever coming from Christopher Walken referring to the show: “My question is um, people... people listen to this?” Keep Chuckin, Chuck!
Love this show!
This show is a must for movie lovers, Chuck is a great host and keeps every episode really enjoyable and fun. I especially love the Mini Crush episodes where Chuck and co-host Noel have a more casual conversation about movies while also interacting a lot with their audience.
I love Chuck but Noel
Noel, stop trying so hard!!!!!
Really Good Movie Podcast
I really enjoy the discussions of the movies on Movie Crush. As a big fan of all things film related, I especially appreciate their recommendations.

Love It All
Found Chuck through Stuff You Should Know. I’ve been trying to really get into movies lately and when he mentioned he had a movie podcast I jumped in with both feet and downloaded every episode of movies I’ve seen and every Mini Crush. I think I’m more of a fan of the Mini Crushes too be honest, but episodes like Casey in Kubrick and the Eternal Sunshine episode are just so dang fantastic. My suggestion would be to do more recent movies in the traditional Movie Crush style, not every new movie should be limited to a Crush to Judgement. Maybe have fan favorite guests come back and do their favorite *recent* movie. Just something to keep us younger folk in mind that haven’t seen all the classics.

Great Podcast
Love listening to the show because it is very entertaining and gives me plenty of ideas of what I should be watching and re-watching.
I do like movies
Very enjoyable. The hosts are well versed in the business of making movies. They cover a wide variety of genres. A must for any film fan.

Just started listening. Won’t stop soon!
Truly. I have only listened to two podcasts so far and totally makes me want to go back and watch all these movies they are talking about... even though the title names only one movie, chuck and guest name so many other movies and pieces and parts of other movies. Oy. Thank you Chuck!
Once Upon a Time ... in Hollywood
I loved this episode so much. The whole podcast is great. I moved recently and lost my group of movie viewing/discussion crowd and Movie Crush is a great substitute.
Bunches of Funches
Casey needs a podcast
Please just give Casey his own podcast, he always has the most interesting things to say and offers the most insight into movies. Chuck and Noel’s opinions are just pretty bland and don’t often go deeper than “I just didn’t get it man.” Then they just run that circle for another half an hour until the episode is done.
Loved loved loved Election!
Emilie and Chuck are my dream couple! Thanks for the great content guys. I truly enjoyed listening and chiming in as if I was there in conversation with you guys.
