Just awful
I searched for any podcasts on the Menzingers & this came up. This dude yaps more than the people he's "interviewing" & I use that word lightly. This time was in a back alley. When he's not name dropping or trying to big time him, he gives backhanded compliments & it's super awkward. He kept calling their album 'Chamberlain Waiting'. Way to do your research. Tom was being so nice & never did correct him. It's a shame cause there's not much out there on the Menzingers but don't bother with this trite garbage.

Helping keep punk alive
I discovered this podcast last night while looking for new (music related) podcasts instead of the usual political podcasts that I normally listen to. I work in a warehouse so I spend a lot of time listening to music and podcasts. The first one I listened to was with the Bouncing Souls. After that, I was hooked! I listened to this podcast for my entire 8 hour shift today. I'm about the same age as Damien and we both got into punk rock around the same time. It's great to hear (new) interviews with bands that I've been listening to for nearly 20 years, to hear what they do in their personal lives away from the band, tour stories and how they've kept it going for so long especially after the "heyday" of punk. You can tell through his interviews that he is a true fan of the bands and genre and wants to help keep punk alive. I'm looking forward to new interviews with more bands and with people working within the punk/hardcore/ska genre. Keep it up!

Awesome Interviews
Damian's style and sense of humor really come through in his interviews and he manages to keep the bands he interviews to stay engaged. Major props for his theme song. Good stuff here.

My first review.
I normally don't waste time writing reviews but in this case I'll make an exception. This podcast is horrible. I downloaded the Cory Branan episode and as far as I can tell the purpose of the podcast is for Damien to brag about his less than mediocre life. Topic of discussion include: bragging about having chuck Ragan's phone # (which judging by the context I'm sure chuck regrets), bragging about drinking with Cory, bragging about several other irrelevant thing and so on. This guy is a complete waste, a terrible interview, and that guy that most people hate at concerts. Don't waste your time.

Hardly Harmless; Mostly Awesome
Damian is a stellar dude with a passion for the finer things in life. Follow him along the way and you won't be disappointed. He is a good bloke.

The World of Damian
Expand your mind, cleanse your palate and get into the world of Damian. At the very least, this will introduce you to some art, music and people you may not be interested in otherwise. The interviews are informative, yet laid-back; like eavesdropping on two people getting to know each other. Damian's personality shines through heavily, threatening to smother the uninitiated from time to time, but is tempered by the extensive fanboy knowledge and admiration he shows his guests. Highly recommended for champions of pop-culture as well as snobs of the underground, hipster-ish variety.

Totally f*ing awesome!
This is easily my favorite podcast of all time. I love the spirit in which these are made -- just brings me back to the good ol' days. These interviews are personal, well-informed, often hilarious, and completely unforced. "Mostly Harmless" is like an audio fanzine, complete with a ton of awesome punk history. Damian is the perfect host! He's clearly fanatical about his guests, knows a TON about them and all their struggles, footnotes, & side projects, and somehow manages to totally relate to everyone he has on the show. By the end of every episode, Dammit Damian has not only broken the ice with his many 'way-back-when' anecdotes (mostly sung to the tune of being three sheets to the wind), but he's crossed that threshold with the guest where they are clearly on a turf of mutual respect. Every episode gets to that super sweet and magic place punk rock is made from!! It's frickin awesome how the interviews start out with a memory or bit of fan-love dripping nostalgia, and by the end, it's just a natural conversation between two really cool people, talking about stuff that might otherwise never be recorded. I absolutely love how Damian tells his own story while telling the story of all these awesome folks. I agree with the other people who left comments, that this is the kind of music podcast I've been looking for. And that Damian should do like 6,000 more of these. Can't wait for the day I can just put a crap ton of these on repeat and listen to em all in a row. P.S. Interview Aaron Cometbus!!! And some chicks!!

Kickass
Only three episodes into the podcast and I'm digging it. Really good behind the scenes interviews. Much better than the usual promotional interviews that bands/labels give. Damian gets people to spill their guts a bit which is revealing. The kind of music podcast i've been searching for. Looking forward to future podcasts.
