Autumn, have you ever listened to your broadcasts? Your intro and post music is about 18dB louder than your vocal content which is ways too soft. Most of the time I have to turn my player all the way up to hear you then get blasted at the end by your post music.

You’re doing great ! Thank you. I’ve listened to two of your podcasts and you present new ideas that I like you think about. I enjoy the other presenters also, I just wanted to point out Autumn’s talents with this review.

This is good stuff! I agree with the reviewers that say some of the sound quality is subpar, but to me content is king, and these technical issues doesn’t distract enough for me to give it anything but five stars. I read all the negative reviews, most of which were variations on a theme. This theme was arguing some of the points of LDS doctrine or the opinions of the guests, which FAIR makes very clear to say that those opinions don’t constitute official Church endorsement. So if you’re going through a rough patch in your testimony, these podcasts may help, especially to help you “study it out in your mind.” If you’re looking to defend the faith, these podcasts will definitely help. If you’re a hater, detractor, or “ex-mo,” who knows? These podcasts may still help. But I agree 100% with Gordon B. Hinckley when it comes to faith and evidence: “For those who don’t believe, no explanation is possible. For those who do believe, no explanation is necessary.” That said, I’m a thinker, and I like for things to make sense whenever possible. It’s always nice when physics, archaeology, or psychology catch up with the restored gospel. ☺️

I really love this podcast. It’s short enough that I can listen to it in one sitting (some sort of drive around town) and it always gives me something to think about. Autumn is relatable and uplifting in the thoughts she shares.

Jennifer has a unique lived experience as well as theological training that informs her thoughtful insights into the core values that form the cultures and doctrine of various Christ based faith communities. The real world outcomes of these issues of what is thought and taught and why can not be overstated. Thank you for addressing such complex issues in such a consumable format. Perhaps more principled discussions, such as this, (of a culture, theology philosophy and history) could help us better find our common humanity. Keep up the good work!

I love the new host for Fair Voice, Hannah, and her energy. She’s about my age, and I’m just blown away by the deep knowledge and love for the gospel she has. This podcast offers a voice to the young adult generation of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who are very aware of the modern challenges we face as members/Christians and want to better help support our peers who’s testimonies are on shaky ground. I truthfully like the unedited format, which makes it feel like I’m having a gospel discussion with a friend. The interviewees are amazing. Even the every day BYU students she interviews. Her speech is fast at times but keeps the podcast high energy. Keep it up!! There will always be backlash when deep and honest conversation about controversial topics are discussed. But that’s why it’s fair. It’s real. Let the haters hate.

I listen to almost all the Fair Mormon podcasts and this rates in the top three to which I have listened. Great topic, well presented and such interesting views - many of which ring true. Thank you very much!

Great podcast. I'm sad that you haven't kept up with your original pace of posting new episodes. I can't wait to hear the next one. Edit: I still love the podcast, but I haven’t been able to stay engaged with Fair Voice. The stream of consciousness, unpolished dialogue hasn’t engaged me. I feel like I’m learning more about the host’s opinions and background than I am about the subject. I keep trying to give it a chance but I find myself skipping after a few minutes of wishing I’d skipped sooner.

These tend to focus on surface level issues and appear to widely cherry pick the facts. More likely to have the opposite of intended results.

I was very disappointed when episode 23 Zarik spoke of Alabama and Mississippi are STILL racists. I live in MS but when I lived in Utah I was constantly told because of where I live I’m a racist. Here in MS and AL there are a lot fewer racists than in UT. The moderator needs to NOT allow broad comments regarding an entire population. Very disappointed. Otherwise I agree with what he said.

Choice of guests continues to be excellent, but the quality of the interviewing is lacking and often distracting. It unfortunately sounds like a beginner journalism project and beneath the high standard I’ve come to expect of the FAIR brand.

The subject matter quality of this podcast has decreased over the last year making it almost unlistenable.

Like all religious apologetics the hosts past and present twist themselves into mental pretzels justifying the immoral behaviors of past “prophets” and the abandoned doctrines/policies of the LDS church that don’t make sense. It’s painful to listen to such blatant dishonesty!

Many topics and a few topics that many struggle with & gives very honest answers.

I wasn’t particularly fond of the new host, Hanna, as she seemed dismissive of those who struggle with certain aspects of the Church and it’s history. Then I found out she’s behind the petition to BYU and the Keeping Faith Twitter account. An account that says the BLM movement is anti family?! It won’t even support the BYU Slavery project. So much for supporting an honest history. This podcast went way conservative and right-wing for me.

I cannot get through even one episode ofFair Voice . The voices are not modulated and. Are pitched very high. What happened. Fsir Mormon used to be a favorite!

I love these podcasts! The content is rich, but for some reason the speech sounds like it’s sped up so I can’t easily absorb the information. Is this something on my end or yours? ALL the audio on Fair Mormon so far is like that. Almost chipmunk speed! Any tips?

We are certainly living in a golden age of gospel scholarship. The ease of access to sources, productions, materials, and so on is matches only by their increasingly improving quality! The abundance of books, lectures, podcasts, institutions, publications, shows, and commentaries presents a wealth of knowledge, insights, opinions, research, and testimony reflecting the expertises, convictions, and passions active within (and near) the LDS Church today. Never has it been as easy to heed the commandments of D&C 88 than it is in these days. Discipleship and scholarship are truly rolling forth together, and it is nothing short of an embarrassment of riches at our disposal! I’m so pleased with this podcast!

It is difficult to trust sources in today’s world, and these and other criterion qualify FairMormon for me against over fifty years of my own pursuit of truth in many areas. I am always searching for a better way to see and understand and I have found such insight through historical and theological information here. I especially love the FairMormon conference speakers. I must also thank you for the recommendation of Thomas Wayment’s translation of the New Testament which has remarkably enhanced my study of the New Testament this year.

I appreciate the effort you put into these podcasts and the effort in making these available to us. You provide a tremendous service to those seeking a better understanding of the Gospel and its teachings.

Very clearly biased, the name of this podcast in and of itself is hippocratic.

I have listened to many of these podcasts and have found the opinions to be honest and open. I like tackling tough subjects while still hearing from both sides and not merely anti-Mormon material. Great job!

Where is O’Reilly when you need him? After listening to a few episodes it is clear this podcast is not about being “fair” rather spinning facts with no regard for intellectual honesty.

I have enjoyed listening on my daily commute. The presenters are generally knowledgeable on the subject matter they cover.

This is a very good podcast featuring, most recently, regular interviews with faithful Mormon scholars on a variety of topics, particularly those of interest to Mormon History. Each interviewer engages adeptly with the subject matter and the interviewee. Great exploration of topics including translation, seer stones, Journal of Discourses, women's issues, and many more. This is a great time to study Mormon History without compromising faith and this podcast is one of the great ways to do just that!

I subscribed to this podcast to listen to the FAIR topics, which have seem to have in short supply the past 8 or 10 months. The newer topics are good but not exactly what I was in search of. In a perfect world, there would be Mormon podcasts with pro-Book of Mormon and pro-FAIR topics which ALSO include at least semi-regular interviews with someone other than a LDS person. The disclaimer at the end of each Mormon Fair-Cast lets everyone know that the subjects and beliefs don't need to fall in line with the mainline LDS beliefs so PLEASE get some non-LDS Mormons or some non-Mormons themselves on to discuss some topics. Thanks!

Many podcasts are difficult to listen to i.e. Monotone voices and readings, boring dialogue...like reading a dictionary. Make Christ and His church exciting.

I've learned nothing but how to obfuscate reality, history and epistemology.

A refreshingly scholarly look at religious topics

I enjoy these podcasts approach to the various subject matters. They help cut through the extraneous and ostentatious stories/"facts" to focus on the truth. Knowledge is important and I am glad to see this opened, fair and balanced approach.

Absolutely my favorite podcast. I love the intellectually stimulating information in addition to the spiritual feast it provides. Terrific perspective for anybody interested in Mormonsim. This podcasts is fighting the good fight and winning.

True to the name, open, fair conversation around the gospel and how to strengthen your faith in modern times.

the lastest episode Dec 9 2015 on the Purposes and Mission of FAIR, leaves a lot of room and need for energy and authenticity. The Canned and prepared questions, the straining to try to answer for things addressed in other podcasts regarding FAIR's failures, or the self-polishing (which I think is discouraged as a form of self-abuse), it's too , too drab.... I'm confindent the metrics on this Podcast will reflect as much.... needs alot of work.

Lots of good information with references supporting Book of Mormon authenticity where early church critics have proven to be inaccurate as more research becomes available. 7-15 minutes long. Excellent source of scholarly info.

FAIR makes for a great case study on how confirmation bias works in any religion, not just LDS.. The mental gymnastics, double think, and rationalizing people need to make religion work is something the world needs to understand better.... FAIR is a good observation of that in progress… Its easy to criticize people for believing in weird stuff and make them feel alienated or hurt.. We need to understand them and understand why they might believe in angels or magic rocks in a hat. Yes, even that!.. That being said. For people suffering a personal faith crisis, I don’t suggest this podcast but rather the Mormon Stories Podcast or talking to someone you know and trust.

FAIR did a real poor job addressing the issue. The podcast went on to call the Michigan artifacts frauds, but the provide no evidence or proof. This is disingenuous. The reality is many scholar believe they are genuine, including Milton R Hunter and Henrietta Mertz, the latter being trained in handwriting forgery and was a code breaker during WW2! Please don’t do ignorant podcasts like this. If you dis on something, provide evidence, or at the very least, a few reasons to back up your claim.

This has become my favorite podcast. I never miss it. And, I went back through the history and loaded all of them. The content is excellent. Doctronally in-line and in harmony with LDS teachings. They are careful to state that they do not represent the Church, but this is a good one. The guests and content do not have hidden agenda's to persuade. The messages help me develop a better understanding and spirtual connection to Jesus Christ.

I particularly liked the episodes with Rich Millar. Thanks for sharing!
