Morbid has been my favorite podcast for a long time, and one of the few I’ve stuck with since its beginning. Ash and Alaina are genuine and funny, and they do their best to be respectful to the people in the stories they tell. They seem to have a small but very vocal group of detractors, but honestly if you’re not enough of an adult to handle some expletives or the fact that not everybody thinks the Bible is important, what are you doing listening to a show about murders anyway?

I use to love this podcast but these 2 women are way to woke they need to realize everybody has different beliefs or views…ice is great,not every white cop/person is racist being an illegal citizen that US American citizens have to pay for is not alright and yes murdering is also bad we know

The content was fine, but hearing the f word seemingly every other word was really off-putting, and I’m not pristine myself. It didn’t add anything, and actually really distracted from enjoying the content. Distracting. And unnecessary. Makes the hosts sound, quite honestly, really trashy. 🤷‍♀️

This is, and will forever be, my favorite podcast of all time.

This podcast continues to be so entertaining and well-told. Shoutout the supporters of He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named never failing to have a meltdown when they hear anything that contradicts their incredibly myopic worldview. Get a life!

I used to enjoy this podcast for the most part but there are one too many times when the podcasters make certain comments that are very ignorant and exclusionary. It would be nice if they thought through the things they said more before actually saying them. For example, I was listening to the episode where they make fun of the subject for having to Google feelings as if autistic people, etc. don’t exist and may have to make similar searches. I get that we don’t like the subject in the episode and they’re a terrible person but we can certainly forgo making fun of them in a way that applies to others (who are non-killers). It really doesn’t feel good listening to the comments talking about him being a freak and having problems because of the searches. I was going to continue listening to the episode until about 40 minutes in, the podcasters started making fun of the Google searches again.

As a huge true crime fan, I wanted to love this pod cast. The stories they cover are interesting but the constant interruptions with wannabe banter & opinions make it unbearable.It feels less like a true crime podcast & more like 2 kids telling a story around a campfire- I actually had to double-check the hosts are adults & not coming to us live from Brownie Camp.

I have never been into podcasts until I was introduced to this one. I am seriously hooked! I used to be a massive chicken, did not enjoy scary stuff whatsoever and to say I love this show so much is HUGE, I’ve even recommended it to my horror loving sister so I’m excited for her to start listening. The girls tell the story like you’re actually setting there with them and I love that and I also love the humor they have in some episodes. Laughing with them is the icing on the cake! I also love that every episode ends with “remember to keep it weird”, my kids are 8 & 5 and they are in the to cool stage so I have told them for the passed few years now being weird is the coolest of cool! So this podcast has felt right at home for me! Love love love it!

The amount of research that goes behind each episode is mind blowing and is not lost on me! Their pace with storytelling is perfect, along with the bond between them that is palpable through the phone. I love the banter, I feel like we are friends 😆I could listen to a podcast of the two of them just talking about nothing for an hour. Please never stop being yourselves, love you girls!

I’ve been a long time listener, I had me er written a review before , but for some reason I randomly scrolled down and saw all the reviews. And I cannot believe the negative in here ! You girls are the best !! I go on walks every morning and listening to you girls makes my walks more interesting, at times scary , but for the most part entertaining. Love you ladies and keep being you ! Politics and all ❤️🌈

First time listening and I was so vibing with everything! And then bam… politics! Why?! Why are we ALWAYS having to bring up this crud. Sad that some people always have to bring it up and just don’t have anything else to eventually go to. O well. On to the next podcast I guess.

I do not enjoy hearing them banter about their personal lives for 10-15 minutes before even getting into the story. I also don’t care for their commentary interruptions as they react to each other. I think they’re attempting to be funny but they definitely are not. These two are annoying.

Started listening after finally catching up on my other podcasts, and I’m pleasantly surprised. Hosts seem knowledgeable and intelligent enough to discuss the topics. Definitely wish they spent more time on things, but overall pretty good so far.

My absolute FAVORITE pod of all time! I love everything from the respect they show the victims, to the complete DECIMATION of the awful killers. Love that they are unapologetic about their political views (whoever doesn’t like it can suck rotten lettuce) And that they are vocal about equality. Wild to think everyone should be. I came for the stories, I stayed for the banter. I love these amazing ladies!!!! Keep it up besties! And Keep it weird ALWAYS!

Love listening to you girls!! I was trying to find where I could send a recommendation… I just learned myself about an interesting case in the 1920’s - Christine Collins and her son. I’d love to hear if you have heard about this?

I used to listen to these beautiful ladies religiously. However, it’s starting to get a bit odd how they compare themselves or their situation to pretty much every one or thing they make the episode about. “I could never do this”, “I would never do that”. We must reach a certain point in our lives where we stop feeding the ego and making everything about us.

A year ago, I would’ve given this podcast 5 stars. I thought they had a good balance between the banter and the stories. They could infuse humor while remaining respectful. However, they have ramped up their needless swearing and rabid political rants. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but this is not a political podcast. I took a 6 month break and decided to try it again- nope, it’s worse than the last attempt.

With two little ones I can’t just put a crime show on tv and carry on with my life during the day. So late at night while they sleep I throw this on while I clean. Ash and Alaina are two of the most empathetic women which makes the way they talk about crime an easy heartfelt listen. They cover stories in a respectful way and because of that it’s the only podcast of this nature I listen to. And to the people giving less stars due to politics, grow up, your class is showing.

I LOVE that it’s two sisters working together. I came from a family of sisters and it’s so enjoyable to get to engage with the sister dynamic while ALSO hearing the macabre. They are educated & well spoken. They offer a variety of stories which keeps it interesting & they are clearly passionate.

I like my true crime podcast about just that~ TRUE CRIME. I don’t want to know the hosts political or religious beliefs. THAT ISN’T WHAT WE ARE HERE FOR! The other podcast I listen to I have zero idea about their stance on either subject. The banter doesn’t bother me at all. I know i know… it’s their show and they can say what they want. I am hanging on by a thread at this point and will gladly bow out and stick to my other shows that stay to the topic of true crime/spooky.

Pasquale puh-skwah-lee; Italian pahs-kwah-le pasquale Pae-SKWAH-Leh I know this is an old episode but geez - if you’re going to say a name 8 MILLION times, and even wonder if “this is the right way to say it”, you could probably take a second to google a pronunciation. Also - this isn't the first time I have heard this - maybe list ALL your sources, including other pods you take info from.

Only caught up to the 2022 episodes so far- have listened to all episodes leading up to it, and really love their devotion to solid research, educated opinions and desire to see a story from several angles, empathy and respect to the victims and their families, and I find them to be very entertaining to listen to despite the heavy nature of the podcast. My only constructive feedback at this point (and maybe it’s better in later episodes), but constantly skipping more grisly/graphic details about cases, and aggressively warning listeners about their content, is less appreciated. We all know what this podcast is about and we’re all choosing to listen to it. I am here to learn all the details without feeling shamed for wanting the details. It can be a little over the top when a co-host is like “omg stop I don’t want to hear anymore” yet… that’s why I’m listening. It reads in a way that doesn’t feel great as the listener. I understand a quick content warning, and providing a warning to allow more sensitive listeners to skip forward a few seconds is very thoughtful of the hosts, but it’s a little over censored in general.

This is one of the best podcasts around. Pay no attention to the bad reviews! The banter, silliness, frequent cursing, and overall hilariousness are what make this podcast amazing. If you can’t find joy and entertainment from this dynamic duo I truly feel sorry for you. Alaina, Ash, and team stay true to yourselves and of course keep it weird, but not so weird to write a trash review because your life is devoid of anything whimsy and fun. Love you ladies and keep the content gold coming!!!

I love this podcast! I’ve been listening from the beginning when they were recording under water 😉 iykyk. They have always been detailed, they have always been considerate of the victims, they have always been funny, and they have always been WEIRD! The only difference between then and now is that they have a different team that doesn’t dictate everything they say and do and gives them the freedom to talk about what they want. And they are WILDLY successful! This is a podcast….they are allowed to have opinions. They are allowed to have political views speak about them. And I personally don’t think they do that much anyway, so the people complaining about that must be hyper sensitive. If you want to listen to a true crime podcast that is purely the case details and no commentary in between, guess what? There are soooo many true crime podcasts out there! Go listen to something else! You don’t need to leave garbage reviews. And the people complaining about how much they curse can also chill. It’s clearly labeled as an explicit podcast. It’s called MORBID ffs. Love these girls! Keep it up, ladies!

Hey girls, I think you slay when it comes to doing the work and communicating these well researched and clearly communicated stories. Recently you mentioned the beginning and I know it’s a hot topic and has been for a while. The reason a lot of us fast forward is not because we don’t care about the updates but rather the unpredictable length of chat before the topic we clicked on to hear will be, but other things too and I mean it with love but we aren’t there to converse and we aren’t privy to the inside jokes or even the current energy of the convo so it doesn’t hit the way it would if we were activity engaging conversation style. It’s more about the podcast being about a specific topic and the personal stuff being appreciated to a point. When it goes further than the amount we can stay personally invested or sometimes relate or follow - that’s when the listener becomes a little drawn out and leans to criticism- and that’s just one opinion so for what it’s worth

I was a huge fan until you compared all men to a serial killer. “It’s a man’s world”. Seriously not cool. Grow up

This is a freaking fantastic podcast! They always have me laughing so hard and feeling very entertained. I absolutely love their banter and the way they talk at the beginning of the episode. I think the people who complain about that are nuts and need to can it. They’re also so respectful about telling tragic stories and it’s awesome when they do listener tales and ghost story stuff. This is a 20 out of 10 for me.

I am late finding this podcast, but have been listening from the beginning and I’m only a couple years behind now. I am loving this podcast more and more all the time. The listener tails episodes are absolutely my favorite! I do see a lot of negative reviews on here saying that the further they go in the podcast, the more they talk about their political views, I know I’m not caught up yet, but in my opinion, they have been honest about their politics and it’s been obvious they are left leaning since the beginning. This is their podcast and if you don’t like what they have to talk about then don’t listen. But don’t make it their problem and leave a negative review just because you’re on the wrong side of history.

Please stop with the ignorant ice remarks! Ice didn’t use a child as bait! The father took off from ice leaving the child alone! The officers were bringing the child home and nobody answered the door! Seems you care more about the child than ice! So stop! My gosh you’re grown! You research your cases BUT believe all propaganda??

Listening to these two GenZ girls use the F word and say GD indiscriminately makes this podcast unbearable. I guess they think it makes them sound cool but it’s really hard to listen to the podcast because of their stupid banter back-and-forth and trying to sound by cursing for no reason. I’m not approved, and I can cuss with the best of them, but I don’t just cuss for the sake of cursing. These two are insufferable.

Used to love this pod but they always have to bring up their views on politics now. They also shed a bad light on Christianity. Never used to be like this and dis the president ect. Still fun to listen to the actual stuff we are here for but I feel this pod will go downhill sadly. They also talk bad on people whom suffered head injuries which most never act in violence but they make you assume so… trust me I have one it’s so sad they have to blame most cases on TBI.

They are good at telling stories as I appreciate how in depth they get with certain story aspects but the condescending, self righteous, virtue signaling gets old fast. We KNOW a murderer’s actions are bad. We don’t need to hear how “beyond” it is every single episode.

I don’t know why there are so many bad reviews.

These girls are THE BEST true crime podcasts in existence. They are so detailed, they do so much research, and they tell it in a way that is so relatable and just down to earth and easy to listen to. HOWEVER. They like to start their banter with a leftist political view, though, and become progressively difficult to listen to over the years. They assume that all of their listeners agree with their politics and general views, which is wild. This used to never bother me, but over the last 2+ years, I have to fast forward through their introductions and shrug off some of their snide political comments. I’m trying to stick through though! I really respect Alaina’s professional experience, too. Other than that, their stories are fact based, just a little politically biased. I haven’t stopped yet, though, but my boyfriend will not listen to them anymore. I would just wish they stick more to the stories and leave politics alone.

My all time favorite podcast. Don’t stop being weird, and everything else you are. I love the banter, the jokes about the killers and your Boston accents. Keep it up ladies, love you lots.

I appreciate how careful, respectful, and detailed you both are with every case. You do an excellent job telling each story while maintaining the dignity of the victims. One of the most powerful parts for me is when you read the victims’ names at the end. It gives me chills every time and reminds me that these were real people whose lives mattered. Thank you for the care, compassion, and professionalism you bring to each episode. It truly sets your podcast apart.
