More interested in telling a sensationalized story than actually telling the story of conservation. Do the “journalists” like Ashoka even talk to conservationists? Or just to the western academics who moan about the militarisation of conservation without ever having spent a day in the field?

I really appreciate this podcast. Though I’ve worked in the environmental field for over a decade, this show consistently exposes me to new ideas, issues, thinkers and writers. I appreciate the truly global perspective, and that the hosts don’t shy away from challenging or controversial issues. I also love the “stop the tape” fact checks. As an elder millennial, I’ll admit this is delightfully nostalgic, but as a scientist, this gives me more confidence that the content is being thoughtfully vetted. In our modern world, where we’re awash with information but losing authenticity and respect for true expertise, this attention to accuracy is refreshing. Highly recommended for anyone who cares about the state of nature and the environment.

Oh my gosh! This podcast in general and this show in particular give me such hope for the world and humanity in these very troubled times. Knowing so many people are working so hard to make the world a better place makes me cry. This is so much better for my mental health than reading the news. I promise to become a subscriber!

Terrific, nicely paced and varied show about nature and conservation. Well-worth a listen. Start off with the Paul Simon interview -- interesting to hear about him and E.O. Wilson; and on the same podcast a nice piece about audio soundscapes and how the variety of wildlife is affected by selected logging and monoculture.

A nice exploration of environmental science and nature news, including comments from field conservationists, authors, and advocates. Mongabay is my favorite source of conservation news, so this is a great addition to their lineup.

This is an absolute must listen if you care about our natural world. The hosts bring in top players in the conservation world (like EO Wilson!!) and discuss breaking news and topics that effect the environment. They manage to keep it light and fun but always incredibly informative. 5 stars
