"What school you went to?" If you are not from Mobile, you might not understand why we ask this question. High school life was all about creating memories and bonds that we still hold dear today. This episode is in commemoration of the 2023 Toulminville-LeFlore Alumni Weekend that happens every Thanksgiving weekend. In this episode, I share why I love my alma mater and why high school is so important.

In life we tend to let our guard down when things start looking good. Just as fast as we let those walls down, we have to put them back up. Life experiences are what makes us guarded as a way to protect ourselves, and at the same time it causes us to miss out on relationships and opportunities. I am joined by my cousin, Twyler, who shares why she has built walls in her life. I was so glad to get her on this episode while she was visiting from Montgomery.

After a year of no Mardi Gras, things were back in full swing for this year's Mardi Gras season. This was one for the books and I enjoyed every moment of it!

One of the best policies in life is to simply keep it real...not just with others, but most importantly, yourself. Inspired by Gunna's "Pushing P," this episode encourages all to keep it real! Especially for those times when we have to apply pressure while doing so.

Happy New Year! As we embark upon this New Year, what does that mean for us? As we look forward to new things, we are still taunted by things of the past...THE PANDEMIC!!! In this episode, I focus on how there are opportunities for us to be great, but things are still around to hold us down and it is up to us to make the best of the situation and move forward.
The inspiration behind the episode's title is from Joseph Heller's Catch-22, a novel that proves that sometimes the solution or outcome in life can also be the problem we face. It's a great read, but I must admit it's a difficult read that gets you thinking.

We are at the end of another year, but it's the 1st year for Mobilennials. This year has been a rocky one. From the continuation of the pandemic to injust acts being committed, we made it. Not all things were bad, though. We were able to go back "outside." Some of us did so responsibly; others, not so much. As I reflect on this year and reveal my memorable moments, let us all look forward to making 22 a better year.

It's officially the 2021 Holiday season! Thanksgiving is now behind us and, now it's time to prepare for Christmas! Holidays are all about celebrating with those that you love. This episode I reminisce about past Thanksgivings and what Thanksgiving is like as an adult. This weekend was not all about Thanksgiving. The alumni of Toulminville and LeFlore High Schools celebrated another alumni weekend! It's something about that orange and green when we get together and celebrate the legacy of the Rattlers! Reconnecting with those that you spent time with when you were growing into who you are now takes you back down memory lane and gives you the opportunity to see how much you have grown. This episode ends with some footage of my family from Thanksgiving where I gave everyone the opportunity to get behind the mic and tell what they are thankful for. However, it would not be my family if janking wasn't involved.

I am back with another episode. Lately, there have been things happening around the world that has gotten me in my feelings- which is a place I don't like to frequent too often. As Congress is debating the Build Back Better Plan, I feel that some components of this plan definitely should be revisited, especially with the idea of offering the migrant families that were separated from one another under the Trump administration $450,000 each. In "The Shake Up," I talk about how Mobilians are negatively affecting the city and that we, as a whole, need to get it together. For the "Mobile Spotlight," I give recognition to The Historic Avenue Foundation/Fuse Project for its efforts to protect one of the prominent African-American communities in the City of Mobile.
Songs featured in this episode are "They Don't Care About Us" by Michael Jackson, "Take Care" by Drake f/Rihanna, and "Sweep Around Your Own Front Door" by The Williams Brothers.
