Lost interest. Jed is not good enough at his job to pull off the schtick that he’s going for. It gets old fast. Mike is vanilla and not the brightest. I’m not the audience for this. Casey is missed.

If Jed and Mike started a podcast I would unsubscribe from this one and listen to every show of theirs. Unfortunately AK Lee and Casey Lidon are often on the shows and they’re pretty insufferable, they constantly make things political and are just overall an annoyance on an otherwise reliable podcast.

Decent coverage of mma news and topics. Would earn more stars if Jed wasn’t so insufferable. Talks over others all the time and doesn’t seem to understand that it’s a product for fans to listen to, not just a conversation among friends.

-Less dead air and awkward “doo doo doo’s” for the podcast audience -More BTL and Jedd -There’s no point in having 10 different shows if everyone says the same thing (Quality over Quantity) -Mike + Guest(s) is a can’t miss combo The lads do great work, MMA media is young and this is still the highest tier content out there. I’ve been apart of Combat Sports the majority of my life, it’s a bubble that’s hard to stay on the outside of when analyzing. These people do a great job of walking the tight rope without falling too close or too far from the picture as a whole and letting it taint their perspectives like it does to a lot. For example, If you ever find yourself thinking that fighters pay is actually fair as it is now then you have fallen into the bubble. If you think all fighters deserve the same rate of pay, you’ve fallen too far the other way. Use this review as a testimony to the higher ups- invest in better microphones, better cameras, backdrops etc. Water this plant so it keeps growing, it will pay for itself on the back end. My Dad, brother, and I all discovered we listen to this channel and trust me that’s a WIDE NET in terms of audience. And as always- More Parker Porter.

I am well aware that it isn’t the job of a journalist to promote these cards but the coverage on this podcast network lately honestly makes me less interested in watching the sport. I agree with many of the points being made but the negativity never relents. As a result, I’ve had to start only listening to certain portions of certain shows here when previously I listed to all of it. Mr. Heck has recently been disregarding everything fans have to say on this topic. I’m sure this may fall on deaf ears but I wanted to give it a shot.

If you want political activism mixed in with your MMA coverage this is the show for you! Any opportunity the MMA Mania team can get to ask fighters politically charged questions to illicit their expected response, they’ll then act like a victim and try to cancel said fighter. Personally I think of skilled sports journalists as those who report on the sport without ever exposing their political leanings. The MMA Mania team is the polar opposite of that. Alexander K Lee would be better off reporting on figuring skating vs cage fighting.

following this feed is best way to keep up with UFC (pre-, post-fight and fight week coverage). Couple podcasts per day with breaking news shows etc.

I used to LOVE all MMA Fightings content, I would listen to multiple shows a week. Over time through, I got tired of the negativity and the politics seeping into the discourse. I don’t listen to Pre-Fight podcasts to be told how terrible the fight card is. I don’t listen to UFC podcasts to be told how evil Dana White is. I don’t listen to podcasts to hear how unacceptable it is that fighter X said X. I want to hear about fights, and be pumped up! Even if it’s a lackluster card. Sports should also be an escape from political narratives. Sometimes things need to be reported on, but most of the time, this is the fight game. We don’t need political posturing or prose in MMA. All that said, they have some great programs and fun ideas. I hope they can get back on track with the singular focus of MMA and promoting Fun!

You know how last year (2023) Mike Heck said not every reporter needs to ask questions on media day? Mike didn’t know he was directing that towards his “best friend” for the 297 media day…. Wowwww asking about the trans community before a fight?

Jed Meshew’s “all hot takes all the time” has a diametrically opposite effect in terms of my willingness to engage with this podcast feed. Dude is a massive bummer unilaterally. Being the loudest person in the room doesn’t mean you have anything substantive to say. Jose Youngs rules though.

I was a bigger fan of this show a few years ago. I despise the influencer boxing stuff, they love it, so I don’t listen as much anymore

Great show by a bunch of guys who seem to genuinely like each other. Makes you feel like you’re just talking fights with a couple of buddies, and the weekly format of different shows on different days is something nice to look forward to every day leading up to fight. Keep up the great work, fellas.

I could go on a whole rant about his display of hypocrisy and pointless takes on fighters. As a listener I don’t think I have to explain everything. He just another guy trying to fake it until he makes it.

This is an entertaining show to listen to during a fight week, I recommend it. I don’t bet on MMA, but I keep a spreadsheet of Jed’s picks (and winnings) from his Friday-before-the-fight gambling review article (from the website.) So I need to know: based on Jed’s and AK’s parlay conversation in the Jun 15 ’22 podcast, it sounds like, for a parlay, Jed makes both the parlay bet plus individual bets for each leg of the parlay. Is that right?

Mma fighting uses be 5 starts then you keep covering clowns one star stop covering boxing clowns and cover real mma athletes

This is definitely the greatest MMA podcast channel around everything from the pre show to the post show BTL & On To The Next One I never miss a episode I’m still waiting to be a guest on the show. Keep up the great work guys 5 stars all the way.The ratings show was great this week.

This was the single greatest podcast I have ever listened to from MMA Fighting. After over 10 years I have never wrote a review, but after that show you guys get 5 stars. Please do a yearly predictions show for 2022. Who will be champion, who will retire, etc… Thanks guys!

Just listened to the latest episode and after AKA decided it was proper to tell the listeners to get vaccinated I had to shut it off. I will never listen again. You crossed the line with that. I came here for fighting NOT politics!! How you can’t understand that is beyond me but goodbye and I will be telling all my friends to unsubscribe as well

What kind of name is E casey anyway. Dude is a weirdo with a speech impediment and shouldn’t be on the mic. Most annoying voice i’ve ever had to listen to please get him off. He can barely finish sentences and just mumbles nonsense.

Had to unsubscribe, sometimes I can’t watch the fights until the next morning and I can’t have spoilers in the titles of the podcasts I listen to. Kinda ruins the fights for me. Nothing wrong with the content itself but seems like a misstep for a podcast that’s for fight fans.

Love the shows BUT, after listening to the new rankings show I was hoping to hear some people that know mma talk about rankings and take them seriously. What it turned out to be was disappointing. The people that took it seriously were great but the individuals that screwed the rankings up by saying Amanda Nunes isn’t ranked #1 in her division that she legitimately (sterling not included) holds the title in or that Ryan Bader is the best P4P fighter in the world is just doing it to be a contrarian and it takes away from the shows potential. The Romero “is the greatest fighter ever”gimmick is funny as long as it doesn’t actually screw with the rankings. UFC rankings are awful and it was great to hear people take the rankings serious but when people are making picks just to be different for entertainment it makes it seem like a joke (like the UFC rankings system) That said I did like the show and I’m looking forward to the next one. Its always great to hear people that love the sport as much as I do share their POVs

This podcast is great! Mike Heck is great and seems like a cool person. AK brings some great insight, very interactive with fans and listeners. Production value is also great. My only issue is that Jed is absolutely awful. Half the time it seems like he doesn’t even watch the fights he pretends to have an opinion about. Thanks for the great content!

These guys/gals deliver the news without ego, argument or negativity (except Alex K Lee... an inside joke of the podcast). Mike Heck is a fantastic host who keeps the ball rolling from topic to topic. The show is even kid friendly (for the most part...I think...I’m pretty sure).

Mike Heck might have some talent but all thrown away with this joke of a podcast. His “co-hosts” either talk at a million miles an hour in that annoying millennial cadence, or come up with brilliant analysis like “Usman isn’t the greatest WW because he hasn’t defended the title as many times as St. Pierre.” Brilliant insight, huh? 😆 If you want real MMA/UFC talk, find another podcast.

The hosts only have a cursory knowledge & the guests (lookin' at you awful Drake) are bad. Bad & uninformed.
