Formed by God. Together. For the Sake of Others. (January 2022) The people of God have always been called into the likeness of God, together in order to to be a BLESSing to others. A definition: “Spiritual formation is the journey of continually responding to the reality of God’s grace shaping us into the likeness of Jesus, through the power of the Holy Spirit, in the community of faith, for the sake of the world.”

How do we live in light of the redemption and eventual restoration of God. How do we live as God’s new humanity right now? I don’t know a better answer to give you in one week then to say: We are called to be people whose actions and intentions are love.

Some of us think we are humble because we serve others, but our pride comes in when we don’t let Jesus serve us. Humility isn’t just serving, it’s being humble enough to be served.

Jesus is our hope, but the scope and schedule of his healing work may not always line up with what we expect.

The good news of the kingdom of God is that the Father welcomes anyone who would turn to him. Running away from God at full speed? He loves the religious and welcomes us to the table.
