Steph will be addressing communication and psychosocial considerations at the summit. Here's a bit of a taste of what you can expect from Steph, enjoy and see you at the summit!Bio:Steph graduated from the Ithaca College DPT program in 2013, then decided to stay in the Ithaca and complete an orthopedic manual therapy residency at Cayuga Medical Center. At the end of 2014, she embarked on the adventure that is travel PT and worked in NY, CA, NM and CO. Hungry to learn more about strength and conditioning and sports physical therapy, she sought out an amazing opportunity in Boston and is now a senior physical therapist at Boston Physical Therapy and Wellness.Here, she is spearheading community outreach and education in youth sports, specifically in the area of ACL injury risk reduction. She is also the co-founder of The Level Up Initiative, which aims to create a culture shift and positive change in healthcare through mentorship of new graduates and students. Steph is passionate about establishing a higher standard in youth training and movement development so as to shift to a more proactive model vs. reactive. He received his PhD in Biomechanics and Movement Science from the University of Delaware and his masters in physical therapy from Ohio University. His research aims to develop clinically effective treatments for individuals with patellofemoral pain, Achilles tendon injuries, or bone stress injuries. He focuses his research on two populations: endurance runners and tactical athletes. His work is currently supported by the US Department of Defense. Dr. Willy has nearly 50 peer reviewed publications and is a national and international presenter of his research and clinical expertise on how to evaluate and treat the injured runner. BioJacob graduated from Utica College with a Bachelor's of Science in Health Studies and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Jacob has earned Certification in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy for spine and extremity, and also has earned qualification with Integrated Musculoskeletal Care as an Affiliate Outcomes Accountable clinician. Jacob has performed extensive post-graduate training with over 300 contact hours in Advanced Orthopedic and Sports rehabilitation. Jacob has also done additional post graduate training in vestibular rehab and post-concussion management.
