A shame cause I do like Steve and his material, but you can set your clock to every 6-7min there’s a loud startling add. In a 2-3hr compilation, every 6min having an add is outlandish- sadly lost a listener

I initially joined for the missing cases, but the cases are not really cases; they are few and far between and are just small mentions of people and that’s it and it SUCKS!!! As far as the paranormal episodes. I do not believe in that and was curious and thought to listen to one episode and am adamant that and am of the belief that all of these people reporting these crazy paranormal stories are people who are suffering with mental health. That’s why they have all of these mental institutions for people like them! And I think it’s hilarious when they try to state they don’t do drugs and are not mentally afflicted — like, yeah, right! Like, you OBVIOUSLY ARE…AND…it’s not like you’d get on a podcast and admit that you are! DUH!!! Just because you state that, does not mean that it’s so — just like the crazy story you just wasted our time telling us…just because you say it happened, doesn’t mean that it’s so! And then you wonder why you have never experienced that same thing again…well, probably because it never happened in the first place! IT’S ALL IN YOUR MIND!!! I just wish all you of you people would seek help and stop wasting our time with these crazy delusions you’ve conjured up in your mind and then want to regurgitate it to us! HARD PASS!!!

Too many commercials and at times right in the middle of a sentence

You know a podcast is bad when you think AI can help it out. But in this case, nothing can save this podcast.

I don’t have anything productive to do with my life so I’m going to make a podcast/video in which I read about missing people cases.

I’m usually not really a podcast person, but I have been enjoying the national park missing person episodes on your channel very much. Thanks for sharing.

I like your podcasts and voice but the ads are too loud and downright offensive.

For we wrestle with evil beings in heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12- the innocent seances, card readings, horoscopes, haunted houses, cryptiods are all discussed in the bible. Entertaining them is to dance with evil, inviting it into your life. Would you hunt without a gun? The word of God is your best defense.

Sorry to hear that greed continues to take over podcasts.

I wonder if the host ever listens to his podcast after he records it. The commercials interrupt him in the middle of sentences and are much louder than his narration. Goodness knows how many listeners this solid podcast loses when they hit the first ad break. An ear assault!

love you man!! you’re one of my favorite podcasters and your voice has given me a sense of calm and comfort for many years- and hopefully many more years to come. my only gripe is the lack of editing i.e. when you keep repeating a line multiple times and forget to edit it out. it’s a bit stressful for the listener listening to someone get tongue tied over and over. i have never noticed it before (and i’m a big time fan) but i’ve noticed it heavily within the past couple months. maybe hire a new editor? maybe it’s new daddy brain? lol i understand that! besides that, great content as always. keep on keepin’ on steve 🤘🏽

There’s no stories we’re just going through missing people spending less than a minute talking about them. It’s dumb and ridiculous.

I enjoy your show and have continued to listen for almost a year now & I must say a LOT of the stories are repeated mixed in with others. However the most bothersome thing is when you’re clearing your throat & or lost your reading place and take a long pause- I’m not sure if you are able to edit out your recordings for errors like stuttering & or mispronunciations, horn honking and phone chimes in the background? It’s pretty distracting. :/ Please find some new stories for us though. Thank you for your time and effort reminding us of the missing !

I LOVE all of your work Steve, but I listen to these podcasts at night when I go to bed, and the commercials are SO loud and jarring! There is zero transition at all sometimes they even cut into your words. I have to stop listening. Not sure who controls that, but maybe reach out to your commercial sponsor people and tell them to stop blasting us? Your voice is so soothing, but it is so disruptive that I just can’t listen anymore.

The cases are mostly all interesting and i’ve been interested by most episodes i’ve listened to so far. I am listening from oldest to newest so this might have changed, but i am not a fan of the background music throughout the entire episodes. i also really really do not like ads and would honestly pay for an add free version if it were available. I get for most people it’s easy to click skip but i am usually doing things while listening and can not afford to stop and skip every time there’s an ad. I know for most people it’s easy to just listen or skip but it just really annoys me and even startles me as they can come out of nowhere. it seems every time i come back to this podcast i can only do one episode at a time as the ads and background music throughout episodes aren’t something i can spend very long listening to. I enjoy this podcast. I hope at some point a ad free subscription becomes available so i can actually listen to episodes back to back …but as of now i am only listening to one at a time then switching the show as i personally can’t stand ads during my podcasts and would happily pay to not have them. i understand some podcasts need ads to keep going… but i still wish there was an ad free subscription version so i could listen more.

Good variety of cases. The only one of these places I have spent considerable time is Crater Lake and it is 100% a super creepy place. Beautiful, but I had an ominous feeling there long before I had heard any legends/stories.

This has been one of my favorite podcasts for the past several years . However , last 6 months or so it has been just repeated content .

The ads are more than rediculous.. can’t even use it for back ground noise..

The constant pauses and restarts, throat clearing is really annoying. Needs better editing. The Jan 16,25 episode is awful!

One of my favorite podcasts. Though I will say I don’t think I will ever hike by myself. I enjoy this podcast and hearing about the different park systems. Makes you really think about how or what you need to bring to help protect yourself. I saddens me to hear how many people disappear. The losses for so many families. It’s good that this podcast does keep them in the news and let people know these families are missing loved ones. I hope that people are found - even if it’s just to bring closure for the families involved.

I get the shows needs sponsors to keep going, but the mid-sentence breaks are jarring to say the least. The speaking is monotone to begin with, but if you are listening in your headphones the ads just coming out of nowhere makes me switch shows

You should be ashamed of yourself for allowing your otherwise intriguing podcasts to be devastated by the worst, most irritating ads I have ever heard. I’m gone. So long, Steve. Apologize to your animals for me. I’ve tried listening in a few more times since my last review. I love the stories but the ads are over-the-top horrible! I also notice that so many of the cases are routinely repackaged into “new” content. Fix these problems, Steve! You’ll double your listeners I am sure!

I’ve been subscribed to this pod for several years and I finally had to unsubscribe because of the annoying ads that happen mid-sentence. For every five minutes of content there is another five minutes of ads. Very disappointing, as this is a great show otherwise.

Understand that they need ads to make a living but they’re spliced in randomly (typically mid-sentence) and the sound change is so abrupt. This used to be my favorite podcast to fall asleep to, now’s it’s unlistenable.

Sound quality so poor it’s distracting. The commercials are super loud, when it comes back to the pod, you can’t hear it. And vice versa.

Great research and empathetic but factual reporting and narration. Fantastic writing. One of my very favorite podcasts. But i have to add after a year or more of listening, the search and rescue and parks and outdoor rescue teams and crews seem relatively inept, especially Judging from the sheer number of searches and remains finally found where people have already searched. And you will never ever convince me most of the forest missing littles and some smaller adults aren’t taken by mountain lions. They would never have known what happened there would be almost no sign of struggle like so many assume. I have seen a lion put the smack down on a big buck so fast and hard there was no struggle. Those things have super powers. Look higher on leges up to a mile out.

This is a show that is fun to listen to, but lately it’s become absolutely insufferable with ads every few minutes. I get that everyone needs to make money, but there’s no way to enjoy the show with this amount of commercials. I’m unsubscribing.

Used to love these but now can’t stand them due to loud and excessively frequent commercials. Not saying that there shouldn’t be any commercials but one every few minutes is just too much for me. Throw in the fact that that they are at least twice the volume of the actual content and it makes them unlistenable.

I love hearing Steve narrate these, but I have tried repeatedly to listen to episode after episode and just can’t do it. All the commercials are just beyond excessive. They totally cut into the narration randomly and loudly. I understand wanting to make money off of these, but honestly it’s just way too much. You can’t make something unlistenable and expect us to hang on.

Julian Sands body was found in June of this year by a group of hikers. Surprised that the podcast does not mention this.

I just discovered this podcast and saved a lot of episodes t hat seemed interesting to me. But I just can’t with the loud and too frequent commercial breaks. It’s startling since his voice is soft and soothing. Won’t list in again until it’s fixed.

Seems more ads than podcast now…it’s a shame.

The same cases over and over and over. Soon he will delete them all and start releasing them again like he did last time.

When i first found these YT vids/podcasts i was excited cause there was so much content. I ran thru it and towards the end of 2023 there wasn’t anything new being released. Now in 2024, they had taken all the videos down and are now rereleasing them with Steve as commentator. The problem is we have heard all of the stories they are rereleasing. Ps, the most recent episode references a settlement as a nation and that should probably be fixed. The individual claimed to be from a settlement, not the occupied land of Palestine. 2024 edit as previous was 2023: You all are still telling the same stories over and over again for the most part

I’m sorry, but a guy can only take so much! Mr. Stocktons narrative skills are great, and the stories are very interesting, however, the frequency of commercials is beyond ridiculous. On top of that they often cut into the narrative. It makes late night listening frustrating to the point that I am canceling my subscription.

4:27 second in and I’m on my 3rd commercial break wow!!! I dig you man! Preciate the voice. Understand you gotta get paid but you are killing your own greatest platform with cheap commercials. I will never subscribe simply because of how many commercials I have listened to. they have made me dislike listening to your shows.. if it’s patreon that’s pushing this maybe seek a different parent platform, Sasquatch chronicles paid subscription never had commercials. Makes bank.. just saying “the premier missing podcast” and… The trail is littered with commercial trash kinda sad.. love ya tho

I used to like this podcast but now every two minutes or less I’m slammed with a loud commercial. I’ll skip and just get back into the show and SLAM another commercial. This podcast has become unlistenable.

Well, it’s become my nightly ritual to tuck myself in bed with Steve Stockton! ( not literally 🤭). I love the stories and his voice is soothing. The length of the stories is perfect ( although I have listened to several episodes until the wee hours). No bantering, no silliness, just the facts m’am. Just the facts. Donna

I enjoy the content I just wish the episodes weren’t so short. The last episode is 13 minutes. I probably won’t listen again as. I like something a little more substantial

The way the information is presented is superlative. It is very well researched and the presentation just makes the stories so interesting and intriguing that it’s almost impossible not to get hooked. The narrator is terrific too! I love this show, it’s my absolute favorite!! I have one question though - what happened to Bob Hicks and all the episodes he made? He was also very engaging and it’s strange that he just dropped off the map. . .
