A Republican legislator says people who live in and around Appleton have mixed reactions to the opening of a detention center there.

State Rep. Paul Anderson co-hosted a town hall forum yesterday about the facility that will begin housing people detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers later this year. Anderson says he understands some people have moral objections to the detention of immigrants.
