Gov. Tim Walz authorized state disaster assistance for six southern Minnesota counties following severe storms and floods earlier this summer. Walz says the state will provide funding and public assistance to help rebuild critical public infrastructure damaged in the storm.

Documents from a lawsuit against firearms retailer Fleet Farm were made public Wednesday. The case was settled in February. Attorney General Keith Ellison's office sued Fleet Farm in 2022. It alleged that the retailer negligently sold firearms to straw buyers.
