He started as councilmember for Lakeville and within two years decided he should run for Mayor. He became the youngest mayor in the United States at that time. After a successful run as Mayor of Lakeville, he decided to take his talents to Saint Paul where he became a State Senator—a position which he still currently holds. Here is his story.
