Tune in this week to hear the stories of Sofya Kovalevskaya & Edith Clarke. These women have taken part in forging a way for women in the STEM field and allowing women today to do what we love. Sofya Kovalevskaya was a Russian mathematician who made significant contributions to analysis, partial differential equations, and mechanics. Edith Clarke was the first woman to be professionally employed as an electrical engineer in the United States. Tune into this two-part series to hear their remarkable stories and how they forged a path for women in the STEM field. Without women like Sofya Kovalevskaya & Edith Clarke fighting for their place and indirectly the place of all women in the STEM field we could have been stuck in a society where women weren’t allowed to contribute. Although we have a long way to go for the fight of equality, it’s important to keep in mind when we all fight together our voices are heard and this is where we see change.
