Trailer: Migrant Matters
Lucy Nevitt states: “Violence exists in the world as reality and potential. The choice not to represent it will not make it go away, and certainly shouldn’t mean that we don’t have to do anything about it.”  My name is Casey and this is Migrant Matters, a twice-monthly podcast delving into the current events surrounding migrants, refugees, and displaced peoples in the hopes of making news more tangible and change more attainable. I am a PhD candidate focusing on depictions of violence in French and Algerian theatre and dance. Through this lens, I aim to discuss the violence that refugees, displaced peoples, and migrants face globally through the use of my own research and episodes interviewing organizations and people who work directly with this subject. I hope that this podcast exposes you to things you may not have known and help us all talk about things that matter in hopes of making change.
