Love the Middle School Matters Podcast. A great host and the world's greatest co-show-host. I really enjoy the hour each year learning more about middle school education. Advisory hour, Middle School Science Minute, Twitterverse, News, In-Depth Topics. The hour flies by. Thanks guy for taking the time to do this great podcast for educators "who care."

I would love to rate you higher but one thing needs to be fixed. I have listened to at least the last 20 podcasts and can't remember a single one that there has not been extended dog barking in the background. Can the dog not be put somewhere where it won't interfere with the audio?

Stupid jokes. Awkward pauses. Failed to ever get to the titled point.
It was so bad that despite the review taking more of my life for these poor excuses for anything resembling entertainment I felt it worth it to warn the world. Better suited for use by the government when interrogating criminals.

This is a great resource for both teachers and administrators. I am a K-8 principal, and I just happened upon this podcast. After listening to a few episodes, I can hardly wait to present this to my teachers. There are lots of great ideas to try in the classroom as well as suggestions for reading material and professional development. Thank you so much!

amazing!
Your podcasts truly hit the meaning of middle school. I enjoy each and everypod cast! When I listen, I wind up talking to you and yes, I realize you don't know I am talking to you and it could be deemed a little crazy if someone heard me - but don't you have to be just a "little" crazy to teach middle school? I am going into my 16th year and have only spent my time "in the middle". I love everything about middle school and I hope MI gets back to appropriate funding for education so we can go back to some of the wonderful middle school programs we had!
Thanks again, I really enjoy your podcasts! Debbie T

Useful Every Time
I've been listening to MS Matters since 2007 when I was a first year teacher. I always walk away with something to try or check out. Now that I'm a department head, I recommend MS Matters to the members of my department for easy PD!

A Hitchhiker's Guide to 21st Century Education
A "must subscribe" for anyone whose tech-free concept of education is scheduled for demolition. The universe of 21st century education is a vast frontier, and the challenge for teachers and administrators is not access but effective navigation. With so many tools and resources available, as well as new concepts to understand, it is easy to be overwhelmed. The MSM podcast is an extremely helpful guide to the possibilities afforded us by new technology.

Saves my Sanity
These guys are great. They are actually educators, talking about education- so rare these days! There is a good balance between broad policy discussions and immediately useable teaching resources. They save me from my agonizing, mind-numbing commute in the L.A. area every day. It's great content, delivered in an understandable and entertaining way. Definitely worth checking out.

Real hosts - Real smart information
DO NOT expect this podcast to be slick and clean like a national radio show. DO expect to get great, usable information from actual teachers and administrators. I sound smart when I talk with other teachers because I listen to this podcast. I recommend this podcast highly to those of you interested in professional development and/or using technology in the classroom.

Middle School Matters continues to rock! I download the podcast each week and it is my Monday listen on my way to work. It starts my week of right - with thought provoking and insightful information and comments. Shawn and Troy always hunt out great resources and Web 2.0 tools. A week hasn't gone by that I haven't found something to use in my classroom and something to share with a co-worker! Thanks for all you to guys and keep up the good work!

Amusing Humor and Relevant Discussions to the World of Middle School
Shawn and Troy produce a phenomenal hour-long podcast each week. They are clearly well versed and not fearful of research. They bring up a wide variety of topics that are relevant for middle schools everywhere. Their discussions do not force their opinion upon a listener and many times highlight different sides of the debate. They are always honest about the reality of the information they bring in school-wide and classroom applications. In summary, whether it is their website reviews, latest books read, or illuminating a recently published research report these gentlemen produce a podcast I never find wanting. Good, but way too long
Interesting ideas and useful links, but would benefit from some editing. If this was a 15-20 minute podcast it would be much better.

Even teachers in Ukraine love this show!
Shawn and Troy put on a show that makes professional development an entertaining experience. Even though I work at an International School half way around the world, the information on the show directly relates to my MS students. Next year as the middle school principal at my school I am making this show mandatory for the entire staff! Keep up the good work, gents.
