Join us as we sit with Simren Jhuty Registered Psychologist, Founder and Clinical Director of Stride Psychology.  We are pleased to have South Asian representation in the mental health field on the show! One of the goals of the podcast was to help normalize mental health discourse in the South Asian Community.  We thank Simren for the work she is doing and for her coming on the show to share her field with us.

In this episode we explore issues that everyone can take something from.  We discuss what is means to be self aware and how to start with compassion for self healing. We talk about how to “lean into” your inner self and to give oneself the time and space we need. We explore journaling and the positive mental health association in keeping a journal and how the practice can keep us attuned and focused through reflective time.  We discuss how to connect to your body and how you can recognize your mental health through your physical health. We consider what the body can show us and how to identify warning signs and triggers as we learn to understand the roots of our triggers. Simren shares with us how learning about yourself and where to start can be intimidating and to ensure to be gentle and practice self-love in starting this journey.
