Amazing!!! Such an important podcast!!
This podcast so eloquently delves into the complexities of the Asian American experience. I am an Asian American and this podcast made me feel so heard and seen. For those who aren’t Asian American, there’s a lot of misunderstanding about who we are as a racial group. Even confusion amongst ourselves about who we are! There isn’t much room for the voices of asian Americans and not much willingness by others to listen to our stories. This podcast goes into the many layers of what it means to be Asian American beyond what is usually portrayed in American media.

Excellent for Allies too!
I’m white but my spouse is Asian American - navigating our racial difference has mostly been ok but not without a learning curve. Although perhaps the target audience is Asian Americans, I think there’s great value in this show for people of any race who have family or friends that are Asian American. Listening to this show years ago could have really accelerated how quickly I understood my spouse’s and her family’s experience. Excited for the rest of the season!

Exploration of Asian American identity
Well written, well presented, and extremely well researched podcast about the nuances of Asian American identity as relating to first and second generation, Asian Americans, trying to find their way within the cultural complexity of the white American majority!! A very enjoyable and thought provoking podcast that should be listen to, and it’s entirety
I just listened to the third installment, and Sarah, the author, appears to be on a roll!!! This is an insightful look into the Asian Americans as they learn to mobilize as a political force to affect change in the American political landscape.. I am inspired by the story which resonates strongly with my personal experiences as a southeast Asian, fitting into the American main stream!! Kudos to the production team, and Sarah Mizes-Tan!!

Thought provoking
Well researched and thought provoking podcast. I can relate to it having emigrated to this country and trying to fit in when not looking like mainstream population. I look forward to next episode in the series.

Identity - It’s Personal
This show will make you think about your own identity, no matter where you (or your ancestors) are from. Upbeat, hopeful.
