People need to feel safe to thrive, grow and do their best work.  As a leader, your role is to help your team build trust in each other, support each other's differences and build the team's ability to leverage its collective-intelligence.

I would like to thank all of those people who asked these two questions. This has given me the opportunity to distil my experience and observations from 20 years working in the field with managers battling the challenges of leadership. In my time I’ve met lots of leaders, a small percentage of whom were truly great leaders.
