Jason Ramp is a proud, talented, creative, kind, nurturing and inspiring Indigenous man. Jason is also an important part of the Healing Circles Day Centre, which is a welcoming space located at Mallee Park in Port Lincoln for people who are looking for connections and support to create personal change. Healing Circles was conceptualised by Jason, who felt that a Rehabilitation Centre of some sort was needed for the region, and Jo Clark (CEO of West Coast Youth and Community Support) who believed a Day Centre would create the connections necessary for support to create change. Healing Circles is creating a positive impact on many peoples lives through the range of therapies offered and the community/family feel of the space.

Please be aware that this episode discusses racism, alcohol and drug misuse, suicidal ideation, transgender, and low self-worth, as well as mentions a name of a deceased person. We also apologise for the reduction in quality of this recording but urge you to listen, as Jason's words are absolutely worth hearing!

If you are looking for training in Suicide Prevention, we highly recommend Question. Persuade. Refer. QPR training, which Emma and Lain talked about in the first episode. You can access the training at https://www.countrysaphn.com.au/mental-health/suicide-prevention-services/question-persuade-refer-qpr-online/ Type in the code CSA to take the training free of cost. This training and this podcast are both funded by Country SA PHN. We thank them for their support in the Suicide Prevention space- an area we believe is important to put energy towards.

We hope you enjoy this episode. Remember to subscribe so you don't miss any of the future MFEP+ME episodes!
