We are made in the image of God, in the image of this Word made flesh. The book of Revelation tells us that the saints overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony – holding fast to the story of who Jesus is –and what He has done for us, a story of absolute substance.

The whole point of delusions is that you don’t know that you are being conned. Am I in danger of being deluded? Yes, if you are depleted, exhausted, isolated, or separated. In the second chapter of Colossians, we learn how to protect ourselves from delusion and how to say strong together as a body of believers with Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

The treasure of the Gospel – “Christ in you.” And know that because Christ is in us, we can live for his kingdom, instead of our comfort. We can grow into maturity, instead of following our own path. We can be empowered by his strength, instead of relying on our own power.

Colossians 1:15-23 is one of the most beautiful, poetic, powerful and empowering portraits of our Savior. It is all about the preeminence of Jesus Christ. He is before all things and in Him ALL THINGS hold together. This week we focus on God’s sovereignty over the spiritual realm. Spiritual warfare is real and happening all around us. How can we respond?

When we speak of held together in Him, we mean that not only is God is the source of all things, but that He is active in and through us to restore the world to His original design.

How do we reboot our lives? Through reengaging with God’s Word, His presence and His people.

In these dark times, seek out the Lord's presence where you know you can find him. Cling to one another until dawn breaks. And KNOW this – no one covered by the blood of Jesus Christ can be disqualified from the kingdom of God. If He can use me He can use you to do great things for our good and His Glory.
