This is the final episode in the first miniseries that was an Introduction to Mental Health. In this episode, I discuss my perception of mental health and medications as a professional counselor. I also have insight from Dr. Steven Hollon, a researcher from Vanderbilt University in Nashville TN. Dr. Hollon's portion is an excerpt from a recent interview I did with him about the brain and how it adapts to survive. The full interview will be published in my miniseries called The Brain and Mental Health and the episode will be called "The Brain and Adaption". So be sure to hit Follow so you won't miss Dr. Hollon's interview along with some other educational and interesting episodes. Until then, I wish you peace and good mental health.

In this episode, I discuss issues that some clients present in session, as well as potential origins of the development of these issues; a couple of examples include (1) high levels of anxiety due to control and predict tendencies for the illusion of emotional safety and (2) feeling "not good enough" for one's family and friend group. I briefly give my opinion on why therapy works for some people and why not for others.Happy Listening:)I wish you Peace and Good Mental HealthSuzie

In this episode, I'll explore mental health diagnosis by discussing the different types of codes associated with diagnosis and third-party billing. Although not the most exciting topic, the goal of this episode is to help you understand the process of diagnosis as well as some of the benefits. It is also my hope that you will become more informed about the topic and, should you seek counseling, the knowledge to develop your own questions for the mental health provider.

Steps to Healthy Relationships; Head Meds/Medications, Good Mental Health in Children, and Good Mental health with aging. These are just a few of what is to come. However, first I am going to address some basic stuff about therapy and mental health, probably not as interesting as some of the other topics, but I think it’s necessary to put the information out there.I wish you Peace and Good Mental Health!https://mentalhealth5.com/
