If you are feeling even slightly adventurous, do not waste your time on a long, grueling day hike and stop answering personal ads on Craigslist already! Seriously, stop, drop, and fire up Media Mavens! I didn't even know what a "maven" was before this podcast. I honestly thought it was a bird. But guess what, it isn't. It's another word for "expert" that they don't teach us American kids about. Anyway, Pam & Riley bring their expertise on strong each episode! I am always learning something new whether it be what to watch on TV and Netflix, which non-mainstream video games are worth my time, and even a little about K-Pop. I used to think K-Pop was a gas station chain in the Midwest but turns out it's a global phenomenon, who knew!? If you want to learn what's fun, what's cool, and what's worth your time then Pam & Riley will point you in the right direction. Great show!

Pam and Riley are two knowledgeable gamers who know how to put on an informative and entertaining show. Whether they have on a guest or are just by themselves, the Media Mavens Podcast will have your ears perked as they discuss what they've been watching, games they're playing and recent gaming news and events. They have quickly become one of my favorite gaming podcasts.

Media Mavens is a fun podcast where Pam and Riley talk about what they've been playing, watching, and reading. They have great special guests and talk about great games and tv shows. They have a great sense of humor and interesting thoughts about topics around games and media.

Pam and Riley put a great spin on a variety of topics - an easy listen that doesn't fall into just one subset of game culture. Interesting guests and engaging conversation. Be it an MMO, Retro, Tabletop, or otherwise, they are knowledgeable about it all! Check it out!

This podcast is an excellent tour across different types of pop culture, with each episode focusing on a new and specific medium and digging into it with glee and precision. The hosts have great chemistry and keep the episodes high energy, the guests have fascinating insights to share (and are perfectly paired with their specific episodes), the sound quality is excellent, and the editing is smooth and professional. Definitely worth your time!

Pam and Riley have a gift for podcast. This is true because I have listened to, and enjoyed, each and every one of their podcast even though they are almost always talking about games, movies, and tv shows that I have NOT played or watched. How is that possible, you ask? It's because their podcast almost always involves detailed descriptions of game play and mechanics, plot, characters, and other features. Perhaps it helps that these two women are extremely imaginative and articulate, because this is not a podcast filled with "oh yeah that was cool, did you think it was cool, it's pretty cool, I so think it's cool, and yeah you're right, way, way cool." As an aside, their podcast is designated adult with explicit language, but for the life of me I can't recall a single four-letter-word in their podcasts. Topics so far have included role-playing games, The Walking Dead, mobile games, the horror that is PS4.5/4k/Neo, and how they apparently have endless amounts of free time to consume all this Media for which they are the Mavens. Give it a go, your brain will thank you.
