l am grateful for the envelope of the heart
from deep within
which shapes what the self
values in the world it moves in,
a process of unfolding, refolding,
folding the other way
always in medias res
as values transform, undulate, reform,
the self is remade not by outside decree
but a steeping,
soaking, fermenting
emanating from the core of the heart
where courage carry on caring
untethered to anything
its radiance can't help but love totally.
