Thank you Robyn, I vacuumed my car
This is the best podcast for getting out of my own head and getting stuff done. I love Robyn’s voice, her positive energy and perspectives on what she chooses to read and whatever the moment brings. I like to listen to this when I’m working on projects because it’s a nice voice to have in my ears and helps keep me motivated!

Phenomenal podcast!
Robyn O'Neil's "Me Reading Stuff" is the radio show of your reading dreams. Her enthusiasm about each piece feels like a friend pulling you aside at a party and sticking a book in your hands to take home. O'Neil is the Dr. Johnny Fever of literary podcasts, and we are lucky for that.

Best Podcast in the World
This is my favorite podcast. Full stop. I have listened for years now, and through all iterations (LA, RobynsGate, I’m here for it all). Please never stop recording, and thank you for introducing me to some of my favorite writers.

I'm Listening
I have Alan Ginsberg reading "America", I have Langston Hughes reading "The Negro Speaks of Rivers", but I'd rather hear Robin introduce me to a new poet or author every week, or make me remember why I loved one. Art makes art.

That’s right, Robyn is a pee pee girl. (Listen back to 2017, and you’ll find out what this means.) I describe her podcast as part inspiration, part stand up comedy, part self help, and part - a friendly reminder to drink water and get some s*

Book-throwing goodness!
Long-time listener, first time reviewer! I’ve long been a fan of Robyn's amazing and intricate drawings, and was delighted to discover her podcast. I always loved poetry in my youth, and this love has been rekindled with Robyn's book-throwing enthusiasm for the poems she reads to us. The episodes are a great way to start or end the day--always with a check in and much needed reminder to drink water and be kind to ourselves. As a fellow artist often working solo in my studio, Robyn feels like a kind of long-distance studio mate and artist friend. And seriously, what could be better than having someone read to you? Thank you Robyn for your care for your listeners and for sharing your love for poetry with us.

Highly Recommend 10/10
Robyn is such an inspiring artist and human and her podcast reflects this. She is so genuine in her reactions to what she is reading, watching and making. Her opinions are so smart but also accessible. I’ve learned a lot listening to this podcast.

I love this podcast SO much
Robyn’s podcast has helped me through some very challenging times the past 2 years. Her sense of humor and realness are so comforting. I relate so much to her stories and the things she shares about personal struggles, particularly related to chronic illness. She’s also turned me on to some new authors I’d never read before. And of course she’s a captivating artist! I love her unique style. Thank you, Robyn, for always being you!

Listening to your podcast takes me right back to the days of lying around in your bedroom talking about life, love, and Vincent Van Gogh. Love you, love your podcast, love hearing your voice!

One of my all time favorites
I’ve been listening to Robin’s podcast since its inception and its added so much to my life. I have learned, related, laughed and grown from it. She is a delightful internet friend and I cherish the space shes taken up in my life with her art, banter, literary suggestions and affection for her cat. The community of kindred spirits she convenes are the best <3 You wont regret a listen to this low-key work of audible art!

Robyn, you are cool. Thanks for the regular poem injections. I’m still in March of 2016, it’ll be months before I catch up with you. The worst is still ahead of you, hopefully the best, too.

Great stuff!
Such grounded conversation that helps wind me down after my morning runs while also getting me in gear to read and write. Lots of great literature here, not to mention honest conversation that never ceases in helping me feel a little less alone inside my own head. A simple idea that truly goes a long way. Thank you Robyn. "Keep living. Keep Dying. Keep writing it down."

A big moist
cloud had been wiped up the sky and lava-lamping through it were the hypnotic rays of the lazying sun, the tender conclusion of the thing we call day break, and then my phone seizes a little. I look. It’s Robyn’s half hour, and that’s okay— even in under this outrageously lovely sky, the world is running and running from ________. Running and hurting. Running and hurting and needing its good language. Wind your springs. Clean your things. Be very kind.

I love Robyn!!
I love me reading things!! The way your mind works is similar to mine, so it makes me feel so validated and I love your laughs while you do stream of consciousness! I want to be buried in the yogurt section of the grocery store!! Thank you Robyn, I also love your drawings. Thank you for keeping me company on cold winter days and bright summer mornings. ❤️

This podcast is perfect
I’ve been falling in love with ‘Me Reading Stuff’ for years! After every episode, I write a poem in my head while I drive that never gets written down. I do love poetry, but no, I don’t want to talk about it. For those reasons and more - this podcast is perfect.

That friend in a far cafe
Robyn is like one of my old friends back in Tehran, where she was always in this particular Cafe, talking about her day, asking a million questions and at the end, reading something beautiful. Everyone needs that one friend.

Great Podcast
This is such a wonderful Podcast to just give you a little break from whatever is going on in you life or brain. It's uplifting, funny and thought-provoking all at the same time. Thanks for sharing this, Robyn. You are quite an inspiration.

Identifying with that Artist’s Dillema!
Hi! Firstly, congrats on the time! I just wanted to share some gratitude for this podcast, I love it and it makes me happy. Love to get filled in on whats new with you. I paint scenery and make art for a living and just yesterday I was dreaming about that “other grind”, feeling bitter, and knowing also that I wouldn’t rather be doing anything else. Life is short, Art is long. Enjoy the new studio! ✌️

Reverent, irreverent
The kindest. Look. If you’re looking to peer into the crevices of poetry——learn its lurid or livid details, its putrid and pretty particularities of craft and draft and afterthought, its compendium of facets——this is not the podcast for you. This is the podcast for those who Adore poetry. This is where you come to smile. Come to relax without your laces so tightly wound. Come to eat Fritos even though you pretend to your friends that you can’t stand them. Come feel uncannily home. Son of god and ice cream cones, I enjoy this podcast. It’s like a blog, but it’s like a phonecall, but it’s like having a type- writer, but it’s like being a mirror in a locked ward, but it’s like playing with shambolic cats. P friggen S! Do you know very little about poetry and wish you knew more? Listen! Do you know so very much about poetry and wish you didn’t? Listen! This space is so low-pressure that clouds pile into it. Holy dahlias, I say. Come! Come hydrated! Robyn’s either ninety or nineteen and that’s a pretty starry thing. ...Menil talk [être] remarkable! Keep killing off the men, or not killing them off, you kind, magnetic genius.

Wonderful poetry and good snacks
Robyn introduces us to (and remind us of) wonderful writers. I’ve taken out numerous books from the library after hearing Robyn read a snippet here. And - her interview on Modern Art Notes Podcast is awesome and I highly recommend it to learn more about her work. And, her snack recommendations are perfect. Kombucha and potato chips. 100%

So- truth be told - I’m a docent at The Modern and today we were privileged to a tour of the exhibition of Robyn O’Neil’s work. It felt like we were in one of her podcasts. She is completely genuine and funny. Thank you for an authentic morning, Robyn.

Hey, this podcast is neat. Good job Robyn!
Hi Robyn, love the podcast and love the drawings. Are you still looking for questions in these reviews? If so, what's your favorite flavor of GT'S? I'm enjoying Gingerberry right now. I also only very recently realized it was GT'S and not GTS. That apostrophe is sneaky. Alrighty then, keep on reading stuff, drawing pictures, and rockin' in the free world.

Didn't Know I Needed This
High-quality witty randomness surrounding a quick poetry lesson/reading. This podcast is the perfect uplifting distraction I didn't know I needed. In between BREAKING NEWS alerts and work-related EMERGENCIES, it's nice to laugh and learn and mentally go to another place for a few minutes. I never could connect with Literature in school, but the small doses here have been enjoyable thus far. Robyn has a soothing voice, too. A+ UPDATE Sept 2019: Same. Also, I need to record a “Me Listening to Me Reading Stuff” podcast. Each episode is so conversational and I want to return the dialog, but by the end of the episode, I can’t remember everything I want to say. 🙃

My poetry, spirit animal guide to life
This podcast has opened my heart and eyes to a world of poetry, which I knew nothing about previously. So thankful to hear her chat and share her love of poetry. The poems are smacking, and her banter about life's ups and downs makes me feel less alone on this planet. Also give her visual art a peek, you'll be happy you did!! Thank you for taking the time to do this for us!

Robyn is the best!
I first heard Ms. O’Neil as a guest on The Organist and I became hooked. I then proceeded to listen to the entire back catalog of Me Reading Stuff and have been delighted to hear each new episode. Like many listeners, I derive a sense of comfort from her honesty and her immensely lovable personality. The poems are often sublime but rarely as engaging as Robyn’s confessional musings.

My favorite podcast
This review is long overdue, but I think I am choosing to write it now in hopes that it will conjure a new episode of Me Reading Stuff (no pressure though). After stumbling upon This podcast, it pretty much immediately became my new favorite. Robyn is so charming, down to earth, and disarmingly funny, not to mention her outstanding taste in literature (Mary Ruefle, Ann Carson, Lydia Davis, and Eliot Weinberger to name a few). This winter I had to drive home from the grocery store in the middle of a horrendous snow storm, and I swear, Robyn’s calming and assuring voice was the only thing that kept my hands steady and me and my Hyundai Elantra from sliding into a ditch. I could go on, but I’ll just say thank you Robyn for being so generous to your listeners. I look forward to the next edition of Me Reading Stuff.

Me listening to Robyn
I absolutely love Me Reading Stuff. I look forward to new episodes as soon as I’ve listened to the last one. I’m in it not just for the literature, but for Robyn. She is kind, warm, open, funny, and honest, and what she reads on here has greatly inspired my own reading list. She is a breath of fresh air, and so is this podcast! (And she’s an amazing artist, obviously ❤️)

The poem is always nice but it’s everything else Robyn talks about that makes me a huge fan of Me Reading Stuff. She talks about art, her favorite TV shows, what flavor incense she is burning, etc. sound boring? Not when Robyn is talking about it.

Robyn “reading stuff” calms the soul
As I journey through each week, with all the craziness around us, I can always count on Robyn’s comments and readings to calm me down, make me smile, and - at least once per episode - make me laugh out loud. The passion for her work, her friends, and the poetry she reads is so sincere and genuine. As the father of two creative sons, I appreciate Robyn’s “all-in” outlook on her work - including her crocheting. Kudos - keep the magic going

My favorite way to consume poetry
I adore this show! I can still remember how excited I was when I discovered that one of my favorite artists had a podcast. I have yet to encounter a better show for listening to while I work in my studio. Also, I really hope no one has mentioned Nancy Gibbs yet...

I have loved Robyn O’Neil's drawings for a long time, now I love her podcast; pretty much I love all things Robyn O'Neil. There is a transparency to her speaking, as if honesty is the only option, which is refreshing, captivating, and a delight. This podcast taps into the deepest well of being human, from our quirks and flaws to our loves and triumphs. It is a joy to be human, and Robyn O'Neil, through her readings and observations, sings that song.

Literary deejay
With the podcast “Me Reading Stuff”, Robyn O’Neil has accomplished in the literary world, what the college radio deejays of years gone by did in the music world, by exposing and educating audiences to new, sometimes unheard of, and under appreciated, artists of past and present time. Once a week, listeners of “Me Reading Stuff” are presented with a curated playlist, of poetry, and prose, read by host Robyn O’Neil. It is a fun, new and unique approach to how we take in, and appreciate the art of poetry. Learn about, and discover poets, and authors of yesterday, and today. Beyond that, where to find these great works, by supporting local bookstores. If you have not yet listened to “Me Reading Stuff”, do yourself a favor and do so. You’ll find nothing else out there like it!

Me Loving This Podcast
Robyn O’Neill is a national treasure. I first started listening to this podcast thinking I’d hear an artist reading some interesting things and it would be cool but wouldn’t, you know, become a source of deep personal and spiritual growth for me. Little did I know, huh! The podcast is absolutely an (excellent) artist reading some interesting things but it is also so much more than that. Robyn O’Neill’s openness, honesty with life, and her good humor remind me what it’s like to be brave enough to imperfect and whole; to be human. Each week I learn something about an amazing poet, listen to a great poem, and feel alive and connected to a great person. It feels weird and cheesy to feel like Robyn O’Neill is a friend I have ever met, but she just cares so deeply about life and others that it’s hard not to feel that, dangit! Anyway, this podcast is great.

I used to hate poetry (probably because of high school boyfriend poems) but I look forward to listening to this every week. Robyn is funny, personable, and an amazing artist. I even bought a book of poetry this week. Listen to Robyn!

I love this podcast soooo much. Robyn has introduced me to a whole bunch of amazing writers and artists and she always makes me laugh. As if that wasn’t enough, she also likes crinkle cut French fries and supports the LGBTQ community. Thanks Robyn!!

You Need this Podcast
I came to Robyn first through her beautiful drawings and later discovered how funny she was on Twitter. Then this podcast came into my life. This wonderful, thoughtful, poignant and yes still funny podcast where she shares astounding passages from her favorite books that I never want to miss. Thanks so much for making this for us Robyn.

Robyn O'Neil is a National Treasure
Is it overstating it to say Robyn is like the Tim Gunn of the art/lit world? Nope. Go listen. Your heart cockles will be warmed.

Breathing
Thanks Robyn. Each time my phone buzzes with a new Me Reading Stuff podcast I stop what I’m doing and listen. 10 minutes to just breath and listen. Robyn is encouraging, thought provoking, hilarious, and a bit looney in the best way possible (the way we all want to be looney but are too afraid). Thank you for making me stop and listen to my own heart and drink water. It seems I am only alive due to this podcast. Twitchters.
