I'm a big fan of comedy, as both my parents are giving it a crack I want to chat to Dad about it. So we did, and then we also chatted about Dad being a grumpy asshole sometimes. 

Its been 6 months since we have recorded a podcast. Me and Dad just have a chat, nothing specific just typical us silliness, talking about life, school whatever came up in between. Be warned, a lot of rambling may or may not take place. 

One thing I've inherited from my Dad is a love of music. We love to hear it, play it and experience it. I fond out the only thing my Dad loves more than experiencing a new piece of music is sharing it with others. We have had some serious chats lately and in this one, it was simply nice to just laugh and reminisce over our shared memories of music we love. Hope you enjoy the episode. 

Dad has tried not to be political on our podcast and with less than two weeks until a federal election I thought it was time to change that. Turns out he is pretty grumpy towards politicians and thinks they can and should do a whole better. We chatted about things that I am interested in and it turns out, just like me my Dad is a bit of a lefty, even though he reckons he is a centrist.  Hope you enjoy the episode. In a first for Me and My Dad. We thought it would be fun to bring in a guest. So in our very first episode of Me and my Dads mate. We invited the most beautiful soul to ever walk this earth, the wonderful, beautiful, amazingly talented, honest and kind hearted Sammy G.  We talk Voice acting, parenting, the highs, the lows and this wonderful journey we call life that we get to do together.

We have done a few fun podcasts but given what is going on in the world this week, doing another one of those just didn't feel right. So I decided to speak to Dad about grief. I only wanted to talk, I didn't want to make him cry, I didn't want to make myself cry. But we did, and we also laughed. As I found out from Dad, there is no perfect way to grieve, but there certainly are bad ways. I hope this conversation helped Dad, who knows, he usually has a good poker face, but I think I managed to get inside and give his heart a hug. If you or anyone you know is struggling with grief, don't stay silent about it. Don't let it become a rock inside you.

So I found this list on the socials recently "Give yourself a point for each thing you HAVENT done" so I though hmmmmm I wonder how many points Dad would get. Needless to say I had a super fun time making Dad uncomfortable for your listening pleasure.

So as you know I am 14 and here in Australia it means I can get a job. I wasn't searching for one but the pub where my Mum works at needed someone to help out the back and when asked I said "Sho me the money!" Then I thought I wonder what jobs Dad has done...turns out it's a lot. What did I learn? You can have fun and make the best out of anything you do and that I don't need to have it all figured out.  That I can do as many different things as I would like, which is a relief because there are so many interesting things in life and it makes me excited.
