On this episode we discuss the thousands of Kashmiri prisoners languishing in jails throughout Jammu, Kashmir and India. Some are political prisoners while many others are civilians who have been detained by the Indian State on false charges including women and children. We had a chance to interview two Kashmiri men where one has a cousin who was arrested last month on false charges and another whose mother has been in jail for a few years now for protesting peacefully against the Indian State, and is able to communicate with her family only once a month. Many of these individuals are highly educated and their only crime is daring to speak out against the Fascist Indian regime and their mistreatment of Kashmiris and other minorities.

The first episode of Mauj Kasheer (Mother Kashmir) will dive in depth into the history of Kashmir and Kashmiris. Kashmir has been an area of strife for several decades now. This episode will briefly discuss a long forgotten tragedy, The Jammu Massacres of 1947. It will discuss what it’s like to grow up in the Kashmir Valley, where there are one million soldiers in place for eight million Kashmiris. A demographic change is currently in place, where non-Kashmiris are being granted domicile certificates, a violation of UN resolutions and the Geneva Convention. Also discussed is how Kashmiris aren’t just silenced in Kashmir but are also silenced by way of cyber police. But Kashmiris cannot and will not be silenced. The truth shall be heard.
