Mastering Your 30's
Mastering Your 30's
Alev Bakan
Every year has its ups and downs, lessons to learn, and memories to cherish; however, it also wears us out. Work, family and friends, and all other responsibilities can take our focus on everything but ourselves. As I started to celebrate my 40s, I began to look back at my last decade. I realized that I sometimes used my energy, time, and attention to things that would not impact my life, did ridiculous things thinking to be “healthy,” successful, or happy, and started well-needed routines much later than I should. I also did lots of good things and gathered lots of experience. That's why I created this podcast to guide women in their 30s about how to relax, enjoy the ride, and make investments for their future health, wealth, and well-being, and give them tips on everything that life brings on, from parenting and relationships to career and financial stability.I will not do this guidance alone; I will have guests from all backgrounds and lifestyles tell us what they had done right, what they wish they had known in their 30s, and what message they would have for their 30-year-old self. This podcast will guide you to discover your strengths and weaknesses, keep you accountable for the change you want, and leave you with the tools to adapt to future changes.Check out our programs, membership options, and all the information about my guests atwww.masteringyour30s.com.

Book of June: The Many Lives of Mama Love by Lara Love Hardin
This book is a wild, honest look at Lara's life – a seemingly typical soccer mom who had a secret double life involving heroin addiction and crime. Her story is both shocking and incredibly human. Lara doesn’t shy away from the messy parts of her past, and that raw honesty is what makes this memoir so gripping. It's not just about the dark times, though. It's also about her incredible journey to turn her life around, regain custody of her kids, and find purpose and happiness again. It’s a stark reminder that the spiral into addiction isn’t just for the stereotypical image we often have in mind. Anyone can slip down that hole and struggle with relapses over and over again. Her struggle is so real and relatable, making her ultimate redemption even more inspiring. I love how real and relatable Lara’s voice is If you're looking for a true story of redemption and the power of second chances, this is it.
