As a first generation Nicaraguan-American, I know how difficult it can be to navigate the higher education system in the United States. Nevertheless I managed to complete my associate’s degree while still in high school, graduate with my bachelor’s degree in the midst of a pandemic, and become the first in my family to obtain a master’s degree.
