As an Armed Forces child- born, raised and transferred across the diverse platter called India, Namrata has acquired a taste for novelty. A CBSE bred student, her growth has been multidimensional with high school education from the sciences. Having gotten a taste of the diversity she chose to pursue her graduation in Humanities with B. A. (Program) from Lady Shri Ram College for Women (University of Delhi). Here, she studied psychology and economics as her core subjects and additional courses in Language and Culture, and Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding. Her professional journey got a major boost when she was accepted by Tata Institute of Social Sciences to pursue her post graduation in Applied Clinical Psychology, where the egalitarian training on the campus was sharpened by supervised field placements. She also progressed to become an International Affiliate of American Psychological Association. Along with these, she also secured a Masters Diploma in Corporate Training and Development (IATD, Chennai) to assimilate her learnings to the bigger level. She also served as a Psychotherapist in Cooper Hospital, and as a Guidance Counsellor and curriculum planner in Muktangan before she found her calling at BRAINWONDERS which fuelled her vision of assessment and counselling to all irrespective of their background. Here she has been deeply engaged in the Research & Development of various guidance resources, psychometric assessments and survey tools and course curriculums. It is here that she pushed herself further into research regarding lifespan development and significance of assessments towards human development. Her plethora of knowledge backed by core theoretical foundations has been sought after by parents and educators alike and has often showcased in her counselling sessions. Her development and experience has been very egalitarian and thus her therapeutic and training approaches are always consisting of a suitable mix of Cognitive-Behavioral Approaches, Narrative Therapy, Expressive Therapy, Mindfulness/ Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Systems Approach. Though she possesses a myriad of exposure- her keen interest lies in neurotic spectrum disorders, personal management and relationship counselling. Her sessions are always sharpened by constant research as she never misses an opportunity to learn- always ensuring that she puts her best forward!
