A warm and cozy place to relax and enjoy someone else open up about growing up in San Francisco as an addict and child of a single mother and younger brother, all three of whom were heartlessly abandoned by the one man who was supposed to love, protect and provide for them. The aftermath has been, for both the host and her brother, a lifetime of addiction, insecurity, relationship struggles and many self-induced disasters. Going back to my first experience of deliberately ingesting a substance to change the way I felt. Whose fault is it, that at the tender age of 12, I would make a decision that has had more of a profound effect on my life than probably anything else I have ever done.

Who is to blame?

As told to my daughter in an ongoing, present tense exposé. My children do not know that I am on Methadone. I suspect that they will find out at some point, and this Podcast is my way of helping myself figure out how I will explain it. I also hope to help others who are on, or considering going on Methadone Maintenance Therapy. It is extremely isolating, to say the least.
