The miracle is described thus in Luke 7: 11 Soon afterwards Jesus went to a town named Nain, accompanied by His disciples and a large crowd. 12 And when He arrived at the gate of the town, a funeral procession was coming out. A young man had died, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow.

4 उसने झील के किनारे उपदेश देना फिर शुरू कर दिया। वहाँ उसके चारों ओर बड़ी भीड़ इकट्ठी हो गयी। इसलिये वह झील में खड़ी एक नाव पर जा बैठा। और सभी लोग झील के किनारे धरती पर खड़े थे। 2 उसने दृष्टान्त देकर उन्हें बहुत सी बातें सिखाईं। अपने उपदेश में उसने कहा,
3 “सुनो! एक बार एक किसान बीज वो ने के लिए निकला। 4 तब ऐसा हुआ कि जब उसने बीज बोये तो कुछ मार्ग के किनारे गिरे। पक्षी आये और उन्हें चुग गये। 5 दूसरे कुछ बीज पथरीली धरती पर गिरे जहाँ बहुत मिट्टी नहीं थी। वे गहरी मिट्टी न होने के कारण जल्दी ही उग आये। 6 और जब सूरज उगा तो वे झुलस गये और जड़ न पकड़ पाने के कारण मुरझा गये। 7 कुछ और बीज काँटों में जा गिरे। काँटे बड़े हुए और उन्होंने उन्हें दबा लिया जिससे उनमें दाने नहीं पड़े। 8 कुछ बीज अच्छी धरती पर गिरे। वे उगे, उनकी बढ़वार हुई और उन्होंने अनाज पैदा किया। तीस गुणी, साठ गुणी और यहाँ तक कि सौ गुणी अधिक फसल उतरी।”

On one occasion, Jesus was preaching to a crowd on the shore of Lake Galilee. A vast multitude of people was pushing to get close to Jesus to hear the word of God. He noticed two fishing boats at the water’s edge, with the fishermen nearby, rinsing their nets. Jesus climbed into the boat belonging together Simon Pand said to him, “Let me use your boat. Push it off a short distance away from the shore so I can speak to the crowd.” Jesus sat down and taught the people from the boat. When he had finished, he said to Peter, “Now row out to deep water to cast your nets and you will have a great catch.” “Master,” Peter replied, “we’ve just come back from fishing all night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you insist, we’ll go out again and let down our nets because of your word.”
