We’re asked to simply “take it on faith” when it comes to religions, spiritual practices,and even that inner transformative work that we hear about. In such circumstances, faith is extolled as a virtue, a wonderful thing to have.But in what other aspects of our lives would we simply apply blind faith like this?  In other cases it would be seen as a naive and irresponsible thing to have, and anyone going along with it would be told they had got what they deserved for not applying their due diligence.We know we live in a world of lies and deception. So how can anyone put their faith in ANY religious teaching or spiritual doctrine, or anyone from whose mouths such words come? Many spiritual traditions teach the concept of karma - that you reap what you sow, what you put out you get back, etc. The idea is that living a good, moral life delivers positive payback in line with those behaviours.But, IS that actually the case? If it is, how does it explain so many good, well-intentioned people only reaping colossal pain, suffering and hardship in exchange for their actions, while evil, narcissistic psychopaths who seek to trample all over other people in pursuit of their goals seem to do just fine, and in fact have such paths facilitated for them?The only way this dynamic can be explained is by acknowledging that, in fact, everything in this reality is the REVERSE of what we’re told it is.
