–20, alongside Proverbs 16:3 and Luke 14:28–30, we see that God’s favor is never opposed to planning—it works through it. Nehemiah asks boldly and honestly for what the moment requires, surveys the brokenness quietly before speaking publicly, and then calls the people from individual concern into shared responsibility. This passage reminds us that the Spirit’s anointing never excuses poor planning; it inspires wiser, more intentional leadership. Vision moves from me, to we, to now—and rebuilding begins when faith is paired with thoughtful action.
