Emmanuel is an autistic 25-year-old Black man who lives in Sweden. Two years ago, he had a meltdown and the Swedish police was called. Emmanuel was sentenced indefinitely to the Swedish maximum security psychiatric hospital Karsudden. This place also houses dangerous criminals like murderers and r*pists.
Mango Podcast interviewed Emmanuel’s sister and mother. In the interview they talk in more details about Emmanuel’s situation, their experience with healthcare authorities and law enforcement agencies, r*cism, mental health, and disabilities.
