I listened back on this day's recording and I sounded stoned! Day 8 was a euphoric day physically and emotionally. And as I felt the amazing euphoria I reflected on the nature of impermanence due to contrast with how I felt this day compared the trauma of the day before!

On day 7 it was all about blisters, pain, and hitting the proverbial physical and emotional wall. Ouch! However, I also discovered there is some incredible peace that awaits the other side of hitting the wall. I think I need to go there more often!

Today as I spent the day in awe at my dads ability to just keep going, I also reflected a lot on the land and the people who lived in it. How did this land shape the indigenous people and what gifts could we learn from them? I also felt just how poorly they've been treated. I really want to say I'm sorry....
