This week Maria talks to Amanda Malaney, a Certified Life Coach who is also an Environmental Consulting Project Manager, about making work more fun by discovering opportunities where you are. Often when we feel stuck or burned out at work, the natural inclination could be to think about leaving. And while there is nothing wrong with changing jobs or external circumstances, there could also be a lot of opportunities wehre you are that you may be missing when you think the grass is greener elsewhere. Not to mention that, without first addressing how you relate to your work, changing your job or external circumstances will never result in you feeling better, because your old patterns of perfectionism, people-pleasing, and overworking will just follow you into your next job.

Amanda Malaney is a Certified Life Coach. She has 17 years of experience working in the environmental consulting field, currently as a project manager. Amanda initially became interested in life coaching to help her manage work stress, but life coaching has improved her work life, her personal relationships, her relationship with herself, and her overall experience in the world. Amanda works with clients one-on-one to change their relationship to their work and other areas of their life where they are looking for a different experience.
