After obtaining her Juris Doctor degree, she then passed the Illinois Bar that same year and began practicing in workers' compensation defense. After two years defending insurance companies and employers, she quickly realized she wanted to help people not cross examine them. So she pivoted hard and moved to the petitioner/plaintiff side.
