Andre de Shields is a blight on an otherwise great podcast
Andre de Shields is horrible!! I thought he was a one time voice actor in Making Grant. I suffered through his mumbling, having to rewind every time he finished speaking, to try to discern what he was saying. And he played Grant, who haled from Galena, Illinois, using a southern accent reminiscent of Foghorn Leghorn. I love the history. I hate the choice of voice actors. Ha! I’m listening to Washington as I write this, and apparently Washington and Grant have identical accents. I recommended this podcast to a friend with the caveat that Andre de Shields makes it very tough to listen to.

The Series is Great. The Narrator Isn't.
This series about Grant is very interesting and informative. I enjoyed it very much. The only criticisms I have concerns the narrator, and there are several: - His volume was considerably lower than the other speakers. - He often tailed off at the end of his sentences, making it even more difficult to understand him. - When he spoke as Grant (i.e. reading a quote from one of his letters), his accent, pronunciation, and cadence seemed very out of character for what one would expect of Grant. This podcast would have been nearly perfect if they had used a narrator who spoke more clearly. Still, it is a worthwhile listen.

Very good
Loved seasons 1 & 2; how there are more. The only issue I have is minor. Sometimes it is difficult to hear the narrator - especially when she takes on an acting role (reading letters by Grant, etc.). I can always clearly hear the other speakers, but difficult to hear the narrator sometimes.
