19. How to Turn Your 'Stuff' into Fast Cash
Let's be honest, we all spend way too much in the month of December. Between holidays, gift-giving, restaurants, alcohol and kids activities, we look at our bank balance and credit card statement after Christmas and think "Holy Crap!" I had an epiphany while I was away on holidays, that I just had way too much stuff. I packed too many clothes, I brought too many things with me to Whistler for the ski trip and when I got home, I realized there were so many things that were just collecting dust in my house. So I sold them. I saw an opportunity and I took advantage of it. I discuss the implications of NOT selling stuff and hanging onto things that you aren't using, and how that money could be better spent on your future. This was an impromptu podcast episode, but a very relevant one. I also talk about how you can get ahead financially in the new year, and some simple ways to make sure you have the basics covered in January and beyond! Check it out and see you next time :) Happy New Year Everyone!

18. Removing Limiting Beliefs around Money using NLP with Mickaela McNatt
In this episode, Mickaela McNatt, Certified Coach in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Reiki, and Hypnosis explains to us how our limiting beliefs around money are created in our brains before the age of 7 years old. She explains how our early experiences with money become engrained in our subconscious and prevent us from creating a life of abundance that we truly desire because no matter how much money we make, we behave with a scarcity mindset. Using NLP therapy and other coaching modalities that Mickaela teaches, she is able to guide her clients through significant reprogramming of the conscious and subconscious mind, thus releasing any previous limiting beliefs. By doing so, her clients are able to have break-throughs in all aspects of their life and truly rise to their potential, without fear holding them back. Connect with Mickaela on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/mickaelamcnatt/ (@mickaelamcnatt) to find out how you can work together to unleash your potential!

15. Why Judgement on Our Financial Decision-Making Triggers Our Emotions
In this episode, I explain how one simple financial decision that I made recently, left me feeling judged, insecure, and misunderstood by my family and friends. Let's face it, not everyone is going to agree with our decisions, and not just our financial decisions. We put so much emphasis and energy into trying to please the people around us, that their disapproval can leave us feeling disheartened, anxious and questioning our own ability to make decisions for ourselves. Every person has their own story, and knowing that your story and their story will never be the same, is an important lesson in taking back your control and sense of self. I explain some of the thought processes I went through and how you can change your response towards the opinions of others.
