Bad sound
This show is now part of the problem. You two spend the hour reviewing the same complaints about the republicans that we can hear on any other show. Never do we hear a peep about what any Democrat is doing well. How are we supposed to convince anyone the “majority” should be supported when you spend no time communicating their accomplishments or plans

Pretty good for the most part
One star removed because Ravi is overly pushing non-public schools but he never allows dissenting voices on that topic, or addresses how private schools largely deny admission to disabled students or students with learning disabilities or poor performance.

Commercials
Four minutes of commercials before the episode began including the same commercial three times…please fix this before your next episode!!

Sanity is rare these days…
I find myself looking for sane voices today, and Jason and Ravi are among the few out there taking on extremism on the right and the left. If you’re a democrat who believes the US didn’t deserve 9/11 and Hamas aren’t heroes, then this is your political home!

Finally Someone Calls Our Piker
Too many left-leaning podcasters are cozying up to such a horrible person. I am glad you all had the courage to show him for what he is.

Ravi Has to Go
The reboot of the show with Ravi was great for a long time. They had genuine conversations about how to talk to folks that could still be reached across the isle. But lately he’s been so full of himself. Two weeks in a row having to rant about Hasan Piker. He desperately had to get validation from Jason, who seemingly barely gave it to him. Then after a lot has come out about the situation and nearly all of the quotes being taken out of context, he’s completely silent. Then this week he wants 10% of the audience to go vote for a podcast they likely haven’t listened to so he can win a Webby? Insufferably annoying.

I tried
I tried to listen to the recent episode to gain a perspective from the other side, but it was your typical Trump sucks at everything. He can’t do anything right. Then it spiraled down into a rant of f bombs, so I turned it off. It’s unfortunate that the dems have no positive platform to promote, so they stick with TDS.

The new Hassan piker show in Ravi’s head
For two weeks in a row the most important topic in the world is a person I have never heard of. War in Lebanon? War in Iran? American authoritarianism? Nope. One most important topic with all the facts, all the time, all the energy. Please tell me all the demographic support and cross tabs about piker. Please. Now I can start my day. What a waste of a platform.

So over Ravi
I loved the original idea of conversations on how to discuss topics with right wingers, but only Jason makes that connection. Ravi has become such an arrogant bro. Seems to be pro-funding-private schools but always “won’t get into it” to try to explain how that wouldn’t crush public schools. This week he attacked Crooked Media for having a guest he doesn’t like (Hasan Piker). Sure, Piker can be pretty inflammatory on his own shows, but this knee jerk purity testing is so damaging to the party. And dismissing the point that Hamas’ aggression isn’t happening in a vacuum feels so old school pro-Israel-no-matter-what. I wish Jason would get his own show, I’m here for him but every week lose more respect & patience for Ravi. I may just stop listening altogether.

Friendly criticism
Dude, I love this podcast, but it’s so much better when both Ravi and Jason are there. I don’t understand why Ravi in particular chooses to highlight the people/podcasters he does. It’s not helping us persuade friends and coworkers and family to join the majority. Tell more real peoples’ stories. That’s when you’re at your best. Less “here’s who’s fighting with whom on the airwaves.”

What’s the Problem with Crooked?
Every chance Ravi gets, he has a snarky comment about the guys at Crooked. I know this show used to be a part of Crooked in the beginning (before Ravi), so maybe there’s bad blood. The underhanded and snarky remarks are ridiculous and embarrassing. Although I mostly listen to Pod Save the World (love Ben Rhodes), I have listened to the other Crooked podcasts. I have NEVER heard them badmouth other podcasters (other than right-wing weirdos). Ravi, we know you don’t like people who aren’t center right, but maybe use some of your affronted rhetoric for the right-wing podcasters who helped ruin this country.

Very informative
Since I retired two years ago I’ve had to whittle down the number of podcasts I listen to. This is one excellent podcast that made the cut. Keep up with the truth telling to counteract with the lies and gaslighting that come out of Washington .

A voice of reason in a sea of insanity
Jason Kander knows what he’s taking about. There are 10,000 political podcasts out there but his approach of how to talk about current events to people who need to be brought into the majority so that you can be persuasive and not get drafted into asinine debates.

Show on immigration
Good show but please be careful about terms. A person is not undocumented if they have a pending immigration case in the system. Undocumented means the person is flying beneath the radar. I have to ask if someone was convicted of a crime why is it so hard to deport them? Seems to me that would be easy to do.

Favorite political podcast!
I look forward to these every Thursday. I enjoy both perspectives and always learn a lot!

Always Five Stars!
I never miss an episode. I learn so much from both Jason and Ravi. I’m reviewing after the Sept 3rd episode and Jason, you did a wonderful job with your “monologue,” as you called it. I didn’t mind at all. Being a Kansas Citian, I truly wish you’d consider another run at some office around here. You are someone I believe in.

Always the best
First time I’m giving a review to any podcast ever. Odd, as I’m a constant pod-of-many-kinds listener, some of which I just dabble in, but Majority 54 is one I never miss .
In the past I haven’t reviewed just cuz I’m lazy and I’m like, other people will do it, I don’t have to.
The fact is Jason and Ravi are always thoughtful, smart and real, they always have info I didn’t know and insights I hadn’t thought of. So why stars today? Simple. Because Jason said not to rate this week’s show. What? Just because the tech was glitchy? Who cares? So overall, five stars every week but today it’s because you were honest and like, hey guys, we and our tech aren’t always perfect, but we do the best we can.

Stop releasing The Game Within on this feed
Updated my review to one star until they stop released The Game Within episodes on Majority 54. I like Majority 54. I hate sports
I really don’t care about sports and I keep seeing new episodes of Majority 54 that then are just the sports podcast. It’s disappointing
I like Majority 54 mostly. They could push harder towards the left though

The business of politics of men’s sports
The sports show is feeling anachronistic. If you don’t have the knowledge or interest to talk about sports generally (women’s and men’s or what’s happening for trans athletes) just be honest about the subject matter you will cover via the description. You are talking about the business and politics of men’s sports. I love sports podcasts but if you are going to use a general description or cover politics of sport without talking gender, it just feels out of touch. Or say, hey, we’re going talk about what we the hosts care about.

Use to love
I use to love this podcast. I still admire Jason. I can’t listen to a show with someone I know wants to dismantle public education. Ravi has ruined this for me.

I like your podcast, but I have to comment on today (March 26) because I am not on Twitter or Instagram and don’t know how else to reach you. But when the representative from MA said that Democrats shouldn’t be talking about Mamoud Khalil (the elite student)…I understand the impulse to not defend him because it isn’t a ‘good issue for us’ but I think the Democrats are too afraid to be real. What is happening to immigrants here is outrageous and illegal. It can’t be ignored. Democrats need to actually lead, not base everything off of message testing.

Out of touch
Really bad takes on the UHC shooting. It just reads as so privileged and so out of touch. But you guys also push unregulated supplements so like, I guess I can’t be terribly surprised.
Followed the show for years even when I disagreed here and there but this is quits for me. Hope you both grow.

Hunter pardon disconnect
Really love this podcast but I personally feel you missed the mark on this one. I do not believe this pardon created any higher of a wall for the next generation of democrats to get over than they already had. The party struggles because they are not hypnotized with group think like the other side. The democrats try to please everyone but the people who aren’t pleased have no problem shooting themselves in the foot by electing a candidate who will never try to work a compromise with them. Not sure how you fix that level of selfishness.

You lost me
I have been a fan for years, but you lost me on this one. Those of us who have suffered at the hands of insurance companies didn’t need an extended lecture about how we should or shouldn’t feel. Privileged people love telling others what acts of rebellion or protest are acceptable.
You acknowledged that you sound out of touch, but then you just kept on going.
Ravi invoking Ghandi just left me shaking my head.

Had to stop listening
Liked this podcast for midwestern analysis of progressive opinions, got tired of ads for supplements that have no evidence behind their use and fad diets. Hate when people promoting evidence and data push unregulated supplements.

Just what I needed
I have to admit that I hadn’t listened to your podcast in quite some time but after listening to Jason’s election week instagram posts I knew I needed to get back to listening again. This week’s episode was exactly what I needed, thank you!

Should We Tune Out the News
I really appreciated the insights shared by both Jason and Ravi in this episode. I only listen to occasional episodes of this podcast, but I believe it merits more regular listening, particularly in light of the broad societal trends that are happening, many of which I’ve been missing while staying within my preferred cocoon of opinions. We have to be open to listening more broadly with an ear to better understanding the beliefs and perspectives of the “other side”, all so that we might then discern more effective paths of communication to advance the understanding and appreciation of our own points of view. Plus, and maybe more important, a superior third way of responding to any given societal problem might well emerge.

Jason Kander 10 stars
I wish I could just hear Jason Kander interview people. He is much more informed, balanced with views as a previous politician and veteran, and is overall more humble. I get tired of hearing Ravi brag about Yale Law, his secret project, how well traveled he is, the important interviews he’s giving, and his overall importance. It’s exhausting.

Solid center left podcast
Jason and Ravi deliver a pragmatically progressive take on US and world affairs. Imagine a mix of The Bulwark + Pod Save America + Midwest vibes.

They are fair and knowledgeable, and I love the banter (and the longer episodes)!

Great job of synthesizing political news
I really like this podcast. Jason and Ravi have a wonderful way of informing me of the latest news and being objective about what it means. I tend to react instead of reflect and see the larger picture. They are both adept at doing just this!

Amazing Conversations
Love this show! I look forward to the discussion, perspective, and nuance. I even love when the conversation meanders into football! Let’s GO BUFFALO!!!!
Don’t bend the knee..
Balanced Perspectives from non-Political Junkies
While Jason & Ravi are very informed, they’re not always on top of every single silly political thing, esp not the pure punditry stuff. They keep on top of the big issues, and they provide a more “normal” take on things.
Most of all, I love that they provide advice on how to talk about certain topics with loved ones that you want to persuade, not shame. It’s useful, practical advice on how to bring people back away from the ledge! The highlight of my Thursday most weeks lol

Good perspective
This podcast is a highlight of my week. I appreciate their take on current politic events. It helps me stay informed and, as the podcast’s premise suggests, it has helped me navigate conversations with other voters in my life.

Thanks for bringing up the issue of the Obamas’ supposed hypocrisy about owning three homes. I saw this pop-up on a friend’s Facebook post. ❤️

Partisan but intelligent
I came to this podcast from Ravi's nonpartisan podcast, The Lost Debate. I hesitated at first because I didn't want to listen to something that might be severely biased, but when I eventually broke down and started listening, I was relieved to find that most of what they say on the show is very intelligent and seems well thought out. I hear Jason say things that I don't hear anyone else say, like he is the only person who suggested that President Biden was taking time to drop out of the 2024 race because he was grappling with accepting the changes that come with aging, the same way our parents might struggle with it. And doing so in front of the entire country. In fact the only thing I've heard them say on this podcast that was totally wrong was when they compared Josh Hawley to a cicada, because cicadas are awesome and cute relatively harmless and they all work together for the benefit of their whole species, which doesn't seem very much like Josh Hawley.

Typical political lies
If you’re looking the typical one sided un objective discussion, this is the podcast for you. Everything said is just a repeat of what liberal media is shoving down your throat. No matter the evidence, there’s nothing subjective. They might as well just say, “orange man bad” over and over. And anyone toting so much how they’re a veteran, probably doesn’t have that much experience.
