Enjoying this so much
Found this podcast during a time in my life where I really need it. Jesse, you are such an incredible, relatable host - you really have a gift for connecting with people and providing a space for folks to tell their stories. A big thanks to you and all the guests for sharing your stories and helping us know we are not alone.

I love your podcast!
Please keep doing this podcast, it is so informative and as somebody with a chronic illness I so appreciate listening to all the stories, it creates awareness for supposedly invisible illness that I don’t feel ever are invisible… at least not mine. ❤️

Awareness and Inspiration
One of the first podcasts on chronic illness I listened to deep on my on journey. Learning about the lived experiences of others living with chronic or rare illnesses has really helped me stay motivated and inspired.
The thing I look forward to each podcast are Jesse’s own update about his journey to receive a diagnosis for his mystery illnesses.
His energy and excitement is infectious, which leaves me feeling better after every episode.

Alexis Kline interview
I really enjoyed your conversation with Alexis. You are both so well-informed and passionate about helping others going through similar situations. I’ve read Alexis’ book and found it to be uplifting without shying away from the difficult questions and feelings. Your show was a great insight into the author and her inspiration.

Great for Awareness and Sufferers of Chronic Pain
Not only has this podcast left me feeling more informed, but it has also made me feel more comfortable with my own chronic pain diseases. Suffering a chronic pain disease, let alone a chronic pain disease that is not easily diagnosed can make a person feel sad or lonely. As if no one else can understand what you are going through. I often feel that way myself. Listening to the experiences and lives of many other sufferers of their own "Major Pains" brings things into perspective. For myself, I realize I am not alone in my pains and I get to relate to the host and guests in this way. I also get to learn about people in their own slice of life as well as learn about different diseases, which I believe would be impactful for people not suffering from chronic pain. When listening to this podcast I am reminded both that there are others out there like me and that there are those out there with worse conditions than myself. Having an "invisible disease" often means that onlookers will think you are fine, faking, overexaggerating, or they will have a miracle cure they read in Reader's Digest. The host, Jesse Mercury, also keeps the air feeling fresh and fun even when the topics at hand can get dark. He has a personality that is well suited to podcasting and broadcasting. He brings awareness to invisible and oftentimes unknown and undiscussed ailments. With so many different invisible diseases I believe this kind of awareness is important.

Just what I need right when I needed it!
I’m going through my own diagnostic journey to put a name to my major pain. Listening to this podcast has helped me keep a positive attitude about the process. It’s so great to know that I’m not alone!

Thank you!!
Thank you SO much Jessie and all of your podcast guests. Listening always makes me feel less isolated and alone. I’ve struggled to find disability community and I really can’t say enough about how much this podcast means to me. It’s lovely hearing people from so many different walks of life speak about their chronic illnesses, disability, etc. I love that you also have people on the show who aren’t just social media influencers. Love the representation. Keep up what you’re doing and thank you so very much! -Emily

Super helpful discussions
I burned through all the shows so far published, each one a different story of humanity. Real, thoughtful, emotional smart, savvy, and deeply inspiring to me. I felt so much hear, soul, humor, and real resilience in these podcasts. Super Helpful!!! 💜

The first time I’ve been compelled to write a podcast review
I learned about this podcast the other day on TikTok from Zoe and I am SO GLAD she shared it! I’ve already listened to the Born HIV Positive and Adaptive Sports episodes and I’m hooked. I was initially hesitant when I saw how long the HIV episode was, but it was fascinating and engaging. Ultimately, the episode flew by and I was eager to listen to the next episode.
I’ll definitely be binging the back catalog. If you have a chronic illness or know someone who is, this podcast gives excellent insight into the lives of people in the disabled community. As someone with rheumatoid arthritis who lives in chronic pain, I’ve loved the positivity that I heard on the two episodes I’ve listened to so far. I cannot recommend this podcast enough.

A podcast you NEED in your life!
As someone who was just diagnosed, this is the exact type of podcast I’ve been looking for. I love how there is such a wide variety of guests when it comes to their stories and chronic illnesses. I’ve only listened to a few episodes so far and am so happy I have a bunch more to listen to. Listening has helped me not feel so alone and to know that there is always more to come. Thank you for the podcast and I hope you never stop making episodes!
Also I borrowed my family’s iPad to write this review because I have an android and just need everyone to know that they should LISTEN TO THIS PODCAST

Anytime Understanding
The best part of this podcast is the accessibility anytime. On my bad days I know I’m just a few clicks away from others that understand.

23 June Episode
This is the first episode I listened to. Most of it was off-topic, lots of chatting about pets, lots of platitudes & vague generalities. Pretty unimpressed.

Thank You!
As a mother of someone who deals with chronic illness, this podcast is a breath of fresh air. It’s fabulous to hear all of your guests discuss their challenges, but it’s even more inspiring to hear how they manage to set their challenges aside and just live a great life. Thanks for bringing out the best in your guests. Thanks for inspiring me to do better and to think in a more positive way about health challenges.

The Perfect Balance
As someone who struggles with many disabling diagnoses, it’s important to find content that validates your own pain and struggles, whilst also showcasing the joy and lightheartedness that still can and does exist. Between the hosts demeanor and the content itself, this podcast does it perfectly.

You are not alone
Jessy, I enjoyed your story and hope you find answers for your pain. I am 62 and in pain since I was 12 years old. I have been able to live life and have supportive family and kids but it has been super hard. I look forward to continue listening. Be brave!

Quality and important
Listened to the first three episodes available back to back. Really interesting to hear about people’s experience with different types of chronic pain. The host was really open and vulnerable which draws you into a safe connective feeling.

So needed
Having a space for folks to talk about their pain in all its varied forms is so healing. These conversations make me feel not alone in my struggles and gives me perspective on how almost all of us live at sims pony with a major pain. Can’t wait to keep listening!
