The Cowan Memorial Flute band from Sion Mills, celebrate 125 years of Marching and playing this year, and with this being Northern Ireland's centenary year its great to have a band on the podcast that is even older than NI!

From their beginnings as a lodge band through to being renamed to honour one of their members the band has went through many highs and lows, but have remained a part of the band scene 1 and 1/4 centuries!

I really enjoyed talking to the lads and felt like I had known them for years, we just got into everything band in a short space of time and had a good bit of craic together as well.
