It's always good to do something a little different, so when I was approached about doing a "live" podcast at a cultural event on the Shankill Road, I thought why not, let's go for it.

The team at Greater Shankill Alternatives organised what they called a "Cultural Busking" event on the day of the Whiterock parade as part of the Safer Areas For Everyone (SAFE) programme.

We hosted lambeg drummers, a piper, an accordion player and a singer/songwriter as part of the event and took some time to connect with their stories and to listen to them play and share their talent with the Shankill Road Community.

The event was well received and it was great to be out and about with musicians sharing their talent and promoting their culture.
