I knew that the Chinese community in Chico, California, where I went to high school, had been forced out, but I didn’t know how many other Chinese communities in California endured this fate. I knew about the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882, but I deluded myself that that type of prejudice was all in the past. Thank you, Dr. Jeung, for your thought-provoking presentation in Episode 2 of the Madang podcast.
