Computers are becoming smarter and may soon become intelligent. This unit looks at what “intelligence” is, how computers may become so, and whether they ever will really be intelligent. It is aimed at for people interested in understanding what “intelligence” and “thinking” really are, and who want to understand the underpinnings of our ideas about them. This study unit is just one of many that can be found on LearningSpace, part of OpenLearn, a collection of open educational resources from The Open University. Published in ePub 2.0.1 format, some feature such as audio, video and linked PDF are not supported by all ePub readers.
