FEEDBACK SYMPHONY N°1.1 by Léon JodrySoundwork co-produced by Lumpen Station and Léon Jodry for Lumpen Connexions room, July 2022 This sound piece consists in a non-stop-evolving drone produced by 12 diverse homemade feedback-devices (6 guitar amps with 6 guitar pickups hanged under 6 piano strings, 4 guitar amps and 2 PA with 6 piezo microphones glued on diverse resonant material) placed in a room and recorded by 6 microphones. No-one is playing any sound, the devices are self-sufficient to produce sound and each sound produced by a device will automatically affect the sounds made by the others, My job consisted in creating the devices and meditate in the middle of them with my recorder. In the end, a little post-treatment were applied. LÉON JODRY is a musician, performer, and soundartist from La Chaux-de-Fonds - Switzerland. After a common debut of musical journey playing bass in punk-rock bands, he started a more radical approach of sounds and started to get completely away from concepts of tonalities and rhythmics, focussing on sound textures and emotions.
